I really enjoyed watching Ngakoue this weekend. He seems like he could be a DPR at the very least like Doom. Very fast.

I know we have a lot of TE, but I would consider OJ Howard in the mid rounds depending on where he goes. He's got some wheels on him, is from Alabama, and he could be another Pitta for us. He's not a great blocker but he has vertical speed to be a mismatch at TE.

TE is one position ( touch wood) that we do not need to address whatsoever. IM excited by what we have.

I like him alot if we weren't so stacked at TE I'd be happy to have him, and I don't think he's that bad of a blocker he's just a little light for the TE position needs to bulk up a bit. And I'm kinda expecting him to have a great combine and go somewhere in the second round.

Yeah, I'd normally agree. I just think it depends on where we may get him. He's a really dynamic receiving TE. He'd be worth it from the 4th and beyond.

Yeah, I wouldn't take him on the first two days due to need, but he'll be BPA for me on day three.

if we could get him on day 3 thats a no brainer, heck he's so athletic we could just use him as a slot receiver. Or a revolutionary new quad tight end offense lol.

I don't see why we don't use more heavy TE sets. It's clearly our strongest position.

And give us extra blocking but Marc Trestman does what he wants.

Crazy how TE went from our biggest need, to our strongest in just one draft.

It's ridiculous, isn't it? He completely ignores what was arguably the strongest part of our entire game. No running game = less points on the board + predictable passing game + tired D + lot of time for opponents to drive.

//rant over

But that's discussion for different thread

Two drafts, actually.

Oh yes, but not many people saw Gilmore emerge like this. His second year and he's showing that he can be a legit TE. I'd like more out of him though.

harris highlights just put up new highlight videos, ogbah, bullard, and demarcus robinson, theyre all pretty sick.

Robinson is rarely discussed probably because he's in a bad situation at Florida but he's got sleeper potential to me

To me he looks like a guy who should go higher than where he is actually going to be picked.

i have not looked deeply into robinson at all, ive only seen highlights. and so far i see a solid college receiver but im not seeing what exactly makes him a top 5 guy at his position when it comes to the draft, i just kinda see vanilla looking production, nothing flashy, nothing spectacular, but then again amari cooper highlights were the same way. ill have to look at actual film before i can start making judgements

He's not flashy but he plays for Florida and look at their QB situation and their offense..I don't think it's his fault. I'm not sure he's a top 5 WR though. That's a little rich.

i have boyd, doctson, treadwell, coleman, and williams ahead of him and thats without looking deeply into it(which i havent done yet) but i see alot of mock drafts having him go in the first round and i just dont see that.

my big question is, why have so many seemed to sour on boyd? i like him more than i used to lol

I watched couple Florida games and what I saw was a guy who can get after the ball and make nice yardage after the catch. Seems to have enough speed to be deep threat and, I'm not sure is it just me but he seems to have unusually long arms and knows how to use them.

I'm not sure about top 5 or anything like that, need to watch him more but talent is there. Better QB would be of some help, too.

Not sure on either point. I like Boyd a lot. He's top 3 for me at this time. Not sure where he falls there but yeah.

I don't see Robinson as a first round talent, personally.

i just worry that he could end up another kamar aiken type, practically identical measurables, both are average in the route department though i think robinson could definitely bypass him there, and kamar aiken has been showing some pretty good ball skills lately, but unless robinson is much better in one facet of his game than i am giving him credit for, then i dont honestly see much difference between the 2.

I think Robinson would be a good fit for Trestman's offense since he's a guy that can get a lot of yards after the catch, and could potentially be a good number 2 receiver. I'd consider taking him if he's still on the board in the 3rd or 4th round. He may even turn out to be a steal that just couldn't show what he could do due to the QB play.

Truth be tbh, with this injury to Joe and after watching Goff against Stanford last night, I could be more at peace with picking him if that's the route we went with. I'd still rather Stanley or Tunsil or someone, or better yet I'd rather trade back a little way for a hatful of picks, but I could come to terms with picking Goff if that's what we did.
