I don't like this class of pass rushers, either. It's a bit lacking and weak at 3-4 OLB. It's like going to a nice restaurant with a limited menu. You're sitting there like "uhh...these are my options?" I love Bosa, but he's clearly the best guy for me. I like Floyd, but I'm just not sold on him as a top ten or even fifteen pick.

That's exactly how I feel. If we hired Jim Shwartz and made the full switch to a 4-3 then I would be fine with it, but we could be picking in the top ten and I wouldn't want to use that pick on a guy like Jaylon Smith. Smith would be a beast 4-3 OLB, but not in our system where we are in desperate need of an edge rusher, it wouldn't be a good fit IMO unless we convert him to a ILB and I wouldn't want to use our top ten pick on that position.

he wouldnt really be converting if he was in our system, a 4-3 OLBs role is more similar to an ILBs role in a 3-4, if he were to play OLB for us that would be the real "convert" as he isnt just changing his position title, but he would be completely changing his role. i think he would struggle with all the traffic of playing ILB in our system and playing OLB for us would be completely foreign to him as its a completely different role, he isnt an edge setter, a pass rusher, or any combination of the 2.

i love floyd man, i really do, but his frame does scare me. with sizzles impending retirement we cant afford to spend a top 10 pick on a pure pass rusher, we need a guy who the coaches cant take off the field, thats why ive been liking ramsey and stanley and even  nkemdiche, i dont want us to take a DT but i see nkemdiche as more than that, i think he makes one side of our defense an impenetrable wall on run downs, and brings an incredible pass rush threat on passing downs, he will bring interior and exterior pressure, and basically would be the cornerstone of our defense for the next decade, hes special. ramsey is also a guy who coaches cant rotate because hes so important, if were picking top 10 i dont want a weapon, i want a well rounded, smart, 3 down defender who can really give us an identity again, none of the edge rushers are of that mold.

I think the talk about Suggs retiring is really overblown around here. Anyway, I'm just not sure about Floyd. I need to really watch him closely in the coming games. I want to like him but his situation reminds me somewhat of Shane Ray. Not that he's comparable to him, mind you.

People should watch the Penn State vs Ohio State game tonight for my boy Nassib. I really like this guy and he's having a good year. I mentioned him earlier in the year and he's gone unmentioned here.

I do think this might be my favorite class since 2011 in terms of talent at the top end, ignoring QBs since they are routinely overdrafted.  In years past, there were a lot of guys that went in the top 10 or so that I wasn't high on at all.  I know we're still a long ways away, but if the top 10 goes as it's projected now, I think all of those teams are going to be really happy with their choices.

I think the chances of us selecting a FS, CB or WR is pretty high compared to an edge rusher, if Bosa fell to our lap then most definitely he would be the pick. As far as Floyd goes, I like his talent but I heavily question his size as well.

Couldn't agree more. I'd rather go CB, FS, or WR in the first, or even OL, DL, or ILB over an OLB at this time unless it's Bosa. I just don't think this OLB class is strong early. I think the 2nd round may be an option, or even 3rd round. It's kind of an ugly class for OLB, sort of similar to the TE class last year.

Ramsey, Hargreaves, & a combination of WRs are guys I love for our first two picks.

I haven't watched much of Nkemdiche yet, but I could definitely see us picking him if he fell to us, but I got to watch him more, I heard people talk nothing but praise for him. I'm honestly on the bandwagon for defensive back but after Ramsey or Hargreaves there's frankly no way we select a DB in the top ten unless someone soars. I'm with you on WR and personally I prefer to sign a vet WR.

I'm honestly hoping that a run on QBs in the top ten get on a role and some teams fall for them. I can honestly see Houston and New Orleans select a QB. Especially the Saints, I think this will be Brees last year in New Orleans.

I forgot to mention Nkemdiche when I said people I would be OK with us taking in the top-10, but he's certainly a guy I wouldn't mind taking at this point. I haven't watched a ton of Ole Miss games yet, only a few, but he looked amazing out there.

I don't like this edge rusher class, I doubt we'll select one in the first and I'm with you on selecting any of those positions over edge rusher. I think we'll just try to sign a guy. As far as Ramsey and Hargreaves go, I'm crossing my fingers Jared Goff and Connor Cook get over-drafted. I'm not saying either of those guys are bad, I just personally would like to see them get drafted into the top 10 to help some guys fall to us.

I think if we can't find a trade we could be forced to select a DL, especially with Canty as a question mark and I believe Lawrence Guy will be a FA in 2017.

Has anyone watched Nassib out there tonight? #95? The guy is playing awesome, at least I think he is. He is shedding two guys right through the middle of them. I'm really impressed by this guy.

Yeah, I think Guy signed a 2-year deal this off-season with us, so he should be here another year after this season. I think we could take a DL, but I wouldn't be surprised if we went OL. I think we would take Stanley over DL if they both are there. Plug Stanley in at LG and have a swing LT if Monroe goes down. No, I don't think that would mean the end of Monroe. I think we would have just two freaking guys who could play LT out there, lol. He'll probably go higher than we can afford, but I do think he could likely be the pick if it ends up going like that for us.

I really love this guy Carl Nassib from Penn State as an edge rusher for this team. He's #95 and he's been playing really good football this year and last. I think he's a guy we could target in the 2nd round.

Interested to see more of Nassib.  Didn't/won't catch him tonight, but caught him last week and came away impressed.

I honestly think this guy is a monster and is criminally underrated. He's probably becoming my second favorite pass rusher in this class. Yes, I actually like him more than Floyd because I think he offers a bit more than simply being a speed freak. I love how he plays. He plays nasty and hard and is quick as well. He just got a sack just now. The guy doesn't quit, man.

He plays for Penn State and he's having a terrific year. He's really impressed me a lot. I think I'm about to start a bandwagon. I usually wait some games after I watch a guy enough before I start a hype train, but I've keyed in on this guy and I love what I see here. This is the third game I've seen from him this year, and he's consistently playing at a high level. I watched him play mostly LE for Happy Valley, but the guy is legit, IMO. He is absolutely our type of pass rusher.

I knew he was a big man, but Penn State has him listed much bigger than I thought.  6'7, 272.  I was thinking it was like 6'5, 260 for some reason.

He is a big man, and I don't know if that's legit, but we'll see. You know how college teams like to play mind games and pump up the numbers. I think he'll be somewhere between 6-5 to 6-6.

Stanley is very talented and would make an immediate impact as our starting guard and in the event Monroe goes down could be our LG, but then again I could see the F.O adamant that Urschel could take over for K.O, they really have high hopes for him. I could also see us trade down just because there could be some guys there that we just don't like. I gatta look at Nassib, haven't took at look at the tape yet but you do speak highly of him so maybe he is that good.

He's only dominated practically every game this year. I honestly think he could likely be a 1st round pick. I think he's that good. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he sneaks past guys like Floyd and others and becomes a high pick. I think he's clearly the second best pass rusher in this class and I think he reminds me more of JJ Watt than Bosa. Don't get me wrong and think I am saying he's better than Bosa, because I don't know about that, but Nassib is a special player, IMO, and I think very very highly of him.

I am very confident he'll be a very good player in the NFL and make an immediate impact as a pass rusher. I want him bad for this team.

He's been making plays all game. The guy is going to be special. I'm very much convinced of this. He's been great and played like this against other teams, so this isn't some breakout game here.

Maybe I should take a look at him. I've done some searches on google and read some news of him, you're not the only guy who feels this way about him. I'm going to take a look at some film.

Obviously I'm a big Tech homer and I have my concerns over size, but Dadi Nickolas wouldn't be a bad pick in the mid rounds.

He's small (225-232), but he's fast, explosive, and surprisingly strong. He sets the edge well and is obviously a good pass rusher. If he could add some muscle weight, he could be a good third OLB

Just kidding, its never too early, because its still the offseason and we still dont have enough to talk about.

now lets get to it! many said OLB was a top priority in this draft, i wasnt buying it, i couldnt think of any real value unless dupree fell to our first pick, the ZD smith pick was an excellent step in the right direction but i think we still have work to do in that department because our pass rush could fall off at any moment. one of my favorite guys so far is Leonard Floyd from georgia.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3aA2g5BlQA

you can see in this video(film, not highlights) that he is explosive and versatile, his primary role is pass rushing, and he doesnt excel in the other roles but he appears serviceable and with a stellar supporting cast like we have here in baltimore, he could be a great addition. he shows a few struggles in this film, he needs to add some weight and that is apparent here, but even with his missed plays i see immense talent and a very high ceiling, and at the very least i think he becomes one hell of a speed rusher. the snap anticipation and awareness looks good, and with another 10 lbs of muscle he is a perfect fit, he has the repertoire of pass rush moves, he can penetrate well, turn the corner, is flexible, great hand work, and he makes things happens all across the front seven, excellent stunt guy and would find himself right at home in our exotic blitz packages.

Leonard Floyd is my favorite olb but knowing our owners Allegiant to Maryland what do you know of that olb with the unique name ? He looks good to me
