Too Early 2016 Prospect Watch

ha i was coming here just to say this.

now if we are picking in the top 10, where do we go with it? are there any WRs that you are sold on as late-top10 guys?(im assuming thats where well be picking at this rate) or do we go after a OT, pass rusher, or maybe jalen ramsey?

i personally think ramsey is the kind of person we can rightfully say would be a savior of this defense and to have jernigan, mosley, and ramsey we will have formed ourselves a new "old guard" like we had with ngata ray and reed

I think you almost have to go CB or OLB, assuming there's a guy worth picking there of course.  WR is still a big need, but those types can be found later. OT is one of those underrated needs, but I imagine we wait another year on that.

As far as prospects go I've more or less laid my cards out (I'm still hoping we make the playoffs, but like I say Ramsey is my boy atm until proven otherwise), but if we keep disappointing like this we could actually be in a position to draft our best LT since Ogden. Since I haven't been paying attention to the elite options there, who are the top guys atm?

But as to your question, if we're in the top 10 I think we (more or less) ignore position and go BPA.

From what I've seen, Bosa, Goff, and Stanley are the top three.

I said it already - the only position that interests me in the first round is a pass rusher. Then repeat on day 3.

Trade back and get a one for 2017 out of some qb hungry team. Can't believe week three and im writing this.

ive thought of this as well. if we are in the top 10 we may be able to get a 2017 1 and a 2016 2

For me its clear that a joey bosa is what this team needs. BPA.

we can't afford to get cute here. We need game changers. He is a game changer. He's a jared allen/ jj watt type

leonard floyd looks like an absolute stud to me. i think hes a top 10 guy, and i think shilique calhoun is a late first/early 2nd, would love to see either of them, but preferably floyd.

calhoun is more of a end, and floyd is more of a blue chip edge rusher, and what we have lacked for years and desperately need, is elite speed and burst in the edge rush, we have all the size and brute force in the world but cant get to anybody in time.

there are 2 ways of looking at this.

take one bonafide superstar to fill a position that isnt even much of a need, or...

stockpile mid-range picks for the first 3 rounds for this year and next, and fill a ton of holes with quality players.

i persnonally dont think we need a game changer, i think we need solid contributors at many positions. we need a starting caliber guy at edge rush, cb2, wr, and fs.

out of all those, i think a gamebreaker at cb or fs makes the biggest difference to this team. hence my vouching for jalen ramsey, that boy is just filthy.

Jalen ramsy is my second choice. But c;mon man. Bosa would solve our sack issues. Unless we are planning to make a massive splash in FA for von miller i see no reason not to take bosa.

bosa is a top 2 lock unless something devastating happens. i dont think were getting anywhere near bosa.

trust me, im not taking anyone over bosa. we are one of the rare teams that IF we were picking that high, we could go true BPA, and we shouldnt waste that opportunity to stockpile picks if bosa is the guy... i just dont see us being THAT bad, i mean the 2nd half of our schedule doesnt appear too tough

Exactly, letting the Raiders put 37 on us is one thing but we're still a few plays away from being 3-0 - including against the Broncos (playoff-bound imo, though I'm not convinced they're legit SB contenders yet) and Bengals (who could well win the division this year before they go one and done in the playoffs again).

i see the bengals breaking their playoff wows..

dalton looks different this year.

on the subject of bosa, while were likely dreaming way too big here....

what do you guys think he projects to be? an OLB? a 3-4DE? just an all around hybrid 3 down gamewrecker? and does he have any injury history?

I'm pretty sure he'd be able to play Suggs role in the NFL. No way we get him though unless we pay up a lot in pick trades.

So back in 2014, before the Ravens got Mosley, they had an offer from the Rams to give up their 2015 first round pick if Zack Martin were there. That's top of the second to 17. If the Ravens have a top 5 pick, they better get more than that, especially given this has some special looking talent at the top and some good quarterbacks

Vernon Hargreaves III is my new wishlist player if the Ravens pick that high

I liked him, thought he had a bit of a slight frame but a good player

VH3 has an average build and is an average tackler.

While he is incredibly polished there seem to be better ceiling CBs in the draft.

Potential goes higher than production every single time in the NFL Draft.

Just like how we picked Breshad Perriman.

Yes. But we need that good corner now. I'll take VH3.

hargreaves looks like he has a high floor, as long as he doesnt get bullied in the NFL because hes a little on the lighter side. he looks like a mid first guy to me though, if our season continues as it is right now, and we finish picking in the top 10, then i think we are reaching by taking hargreaves, if im not mistaken he has looked like JAG when facing future first round WRs, i could be wrong on that though..

i think bosa is seriously a pipe dream, i see no scenario playing out where we get him, we would almost have to purposely tank the season, or suffer 10 more serious injuries to starters for that to happen. laquon treadwell though, i think that could be a very real possibility.

Very Very few corners are good out the box, Top 10 or not.

I'd take Hargreaves in a second.  Teams didn't throw his way last year.  I won't say he's a sure lockdown guy or anything, but I think there's a very good chance that he's a very good pro.  I like that he's very developed for a CB as well.  You don't see that too often.

Ramsey is 2nd to me, but that's because I'm not sure if he wouldn't be a better option at FS.  I really like him at CB, but he's one that I want to evaluate through the season.  His talent will keep him up here regardless.  He's still a great CB though.  Saying he might be a better fit at FS is not meant to be a knock on him at all.

Kendall Fuller is a distant 3rd at this point.  I'm not sold on him yet.

I would trade practically any player on the team to get Bosa. LOL that's how much I would want him at this point. There's a few I would clearly pass on, and i don't jump aboard the hype train easy. I never liked Clowney much, but I love what I see from Joey Bosa. That guy is a game changer. I couldn't agree more with Sami. He's a guy I would trade up to get if we could. Ramsey is a second choice but also a very good choice. We need a safety back there to change the game and him being a capable CB helps.

The versatility and ceiling of Ramsey gets me excited. Plus if we do end up winning a few games we could still get him.

His combine , which I expect him to destory , might rocket him out of our range.
