I know the age numbers for SSS seem to imply you are probably right but boy he sure doesn't play like it.  The way he played last year you'd have thought he was in the middle of his career and not near the end.  Now that he's on a team whose attitude he really likes and feels like he belongs in I think mentally he could play for years.  And so far his body is not showing any wear and tear.  I hope we have him for years to come just because it's fun to watch how full of pepper he can get in a game.  Keep going SSS.  It's fun to watch you on the field on Sundays, even if we don't win every game.

Agreed, absolutely love his passion & desire to win and although age is a factor... Stats were more than ok last year

SSS is a rare player that he can continue to play at such a high level, but the plan with these young WR's to groom them to replace him, whether it be next year, or the following year....Because we are really deep at the WR position, i think some will be on the PS, and others on IR to keep other teams from snagging them...

Marlon Brown seems to be missing from the list of undrafted rookies sticking with the team.

Surprised M. Brown was omitted, b/c he had a great rookie year.  Tied Torrey Smith's record of TD receptions for a rookie.

same thing was said about a guy named Suggs and look how that turned out  :D

Suggs and DePriest have absolutely nothing in common. There is a reason suggs was a Top 10 pick and DePriest was undrafted.

This year's crop of UFAs seems to definitely have some potentially NFL caliber players. At least, their resumes appear to suggest that. I would be surprised if one or more does not make our final 53, with others having attempts made to stash them on our PS. It's really a shame about the CB breaking his leg. With it still being a position of need I bet he felt like he was in a good spot. I wish him the best in his recovery so that he can have another go at it next year. I have a feeling that our final cuts to get to 53 might well have a few surprises. I still think we are looking to sign a salary cap cut veteran CB, Arrington perhaps?

What's the deal with D J Swearinger? Anybody know? It seemed like a kind of weird way to announce his departure from the Texans. I read, "D J Swearinger was informed that he would not be a member of the team this year." That seemed like a kind of strangely worded statement from the Texans. Wonder what's up. It just didn't sound like a typical cut, and it was relatively early for it to happen. At least it seems that way to me. Anybody hear anything else?

I put my money on Nick Perry. I don't know nothing more about him but that he is from Alabama and his name has a ring to it. "Nick Perry intercepts Brady again!" Sounds good right!

They were both labeled as being too slow at their respective positions. So yeah, they do have something in common.

To be fair, would we have won the superbowl without him?

Without LaQuan? Certainly,... If LaQuan was instrumental in us winning the SB, then Jacoby Jones was the SB MVP! :229031_rofl:

I must be misunderstanding you because I don't see LaQuan Williams as an intricate cog in our Super Bowl SEASON!   :34853_shakehead:

What are you getting at?

Suggs also showed that he had pass rush ability and the short shuttle is more indicative of quality athlete. Which Suggs ran it in 4.33 and DePriest did it in blisteringly slow time of  4.93. Please stop trying to compare an udfa that was passed over multiple times by ilb needy teams to a former defensive player of the year and one of the best all around LB's

The forced fumble against the patriots was a pretty intricate cog

One play, in the middle of a game does not a decision turn, sir!
