2015 Draft a Franchise: Discussion Thread

Teddy should be huge. Boy teams like the Browns, jets, bills, Texans, etc look really stupid right now. I would love to hear from their gms if they really dropped him because of a pro day or there was some other mysterious concern.

Those skinny legs :D

Ryan Mundy has been IRd, you may want to replace him

I saw that last night. Thankfully he was my reserve. Just waiting to see if there are any pleasant surprises. Still, the heads up is appreciated.

Looks like my Kirk Cousins pick is coming through already.  He should be a decent backup to Bradford with Renner waiting in the wings.

Think you may have posted this in the wrong thread.

Too much excitement - it's not every day that backup QB gets a starting job.

True, true. Certainly does give the pick more value since he can now be judged more easily.

Since Means is going on I.R., I will be making another pick here shortly

Menelik Watson ruptured his Achilles as well

Excitement for Skins fans definitely. Cousins is definitely the best qb in Washington. However ownership won't let him be cut or traded. With the 16m option yr in 2016 no one in their right mind would take him.

Go Ravens!

Yeah, I don't know what were they thinking picking 5th year option on him. Fully guaranteed for injury, too.

Yes that is correct it is fully guaranteed if he gets injured and is not healthy by the beginning of the league year in March or late February.  That was coming straight from the top.

That makes more sense. I definitely uswd my personnel as a major factor in how I looked at the coordinators.

Bad news for one of your starters I'm afraid. Looks like Jace Amaro was sent to IR with a torn labrum.

I like the Lawson pick.

Thanks, getting up there but provides me some nice versatility and Rex looks to be using him a bit up there

As for Addison, I needed to get another edge rusher and while he has his issues, pass rushing from the edge will be his primary job and with the attention everyone else gets, maybe he slips by a few times.

Yikes. Thanks for the heads up. That was already a weak position for me too. Any idea on whose turn it is, or can I just grab another guy?

Pretty sure it's just kind of a fill in as needed thing now. No need to wait for anyone.

Went with an upside guy who I liked coming out of Arkansas. He hasn't done much in the NFL, but Gragg is still a great athlete and he has really shown off his pass catching ability in the preseason. He might not even make the team, but he's worth a flier.

No problem. I figured you'd prefer to know sooner than later given that it was a starter. That one caught me by surprise. I assume it's more disappointing because that's one of your favorite recent draftees. I sadly know the feeling. It's a string of bad luck to lose a starting TE and WR in Amaro and Kevin White, but fortunately, they have their careers ahead of them. I caught almost the entirety of the Bills game and Gragg showed off his upside. Good pick at this point, especially if you're looking for more of a receiving option.

Decided to roll with Mike Purcell here. He's been on my radar since last season, and while he offers very little as a pass rusher, he's been consistently effective in the running game. Definitely difficult to move. He impressed me the most against Houston's starters on the goal line in the 49ers first preseason game. Had three solid stops in a single sequence. I see him making the roster and seeing the field more than he has before considering the talent lost on that defensive front. He's also a better fit at the 0/1 T spot the reserve given that he's played mostly a the Nose with a little DE thrown in there.
