2015 Draft a Franchise: Discussion Thread

Cameron Artis-Payne should get plenty of playing time in Carolina and most likely a lot of starting experience as Stewart never plays a full 16 games.  I also loved this kids tape and almost drafted him in the Forum Mock.

Steelers fear Suisham may have suffered a serious knee injury last night

really!? rough deal, stopped watching the game after the first quarter and put the pick up first thing as I woke up. Oh well, a backup looks to be needed though

Yeah, they fear a torn ACL

He's been a good kicker for them.  It could be difficult to find a replacement as consistent as he has been.

We are now in the 46th round.

Sounds like the perfect time to draft that Aaron Rodgers guy.

I would wait until the last round with him, not worth the trouble

Aren't they both massive busts?

Pretty much my thought. Hard to believe they can be had so late compared to where they were drafted. The mighty have fallen.

My last pick in bowanko is an athletic center who did some good things last year. It's aparently not a lock wisnewski starts over him. It will be interesting to see if he can make some improvements this year

I saw that as well.  I'm definitely intrigued.

exactly why they are good picks in the 46th round

There are still good players around though. These two have done nothing but disappoint.

Yes I agree on all points. There are several good players available and I don't have them on my remaining top 25 or so, but fee they are worth the risk.

I thought for sure they were going to do well when they were drafted. Especially Jones. Carimi being drafted by the Bears with a bad oline and jay cutler was a negative. He was also pretty bad in Tampa and Atlanta. Interesting how he will be under Kyles version of the zbs.

With 7 rounds remaining until the end of the 2015 Draft A Franchise, I have to say that this offseason has been a different and fun experience playing both the 2015 Forum Mock and DaF.  I'm typically out of the country in the summer and already know next year I'll be in Hawaii for 10-12 days at the end of July.

It's definitely been a lot of fun.

Go Ravens!

I agree. They are fun and educational. And I think more enjoyable each year.

It definitely gets you to learn a lot about the players.

The pick will be in shortly. I tried to submit the selection at 2 AM last night but the board went down. Wasn't able to find a moment until just now given that I'm at work. As an added reminder, I'd prefer to do without the PM notifications. I appreciate the gesture but this is the first section that I visit when I sign on. It's redundant. All it does it forces me to go into my Inbox and delete the messages. Thanks in advance for understanding.

The pick is in. Decided to roll with Todd Davis, who flashed at both the Mike and Will when Brandon Marshall went down with the foot injury. He's currently penciled in as the top reserve inside and Wade Phillips went as far as saying that his current back ups at ILB are the best he's ever had in reference to Davis. He'll also have some familiarity with the 4-3 Under. Should make for very capable reserve and a solid spot starter.

Gratz at this point is very good value IMO, he may not start but he will provide solid depth and may even get some looks at Safety.

I don't really know what position to consider Denard Robinson, but he's a great weapon and he'll get the ball in his hands in my offense.  He's not a guy that I'd want as my lead rusher (although he was passable in the role for JAX last year), but he'll be a great change of pace guy for me.

Also, shouldn't we technically be going to round 56? 53 man roster plus HC, OC, DC?

Yes, that's correct.

Yeah, just fixed that on the big board.  I'll be going 2 more than that to get week 1 fillers for my two suspensions (Marcell Dareus and LeGarrette Blount).

Also a good point.
