If you thought Von Miller was good as a 4-3 OLB, just wait until you see him as a 3-4 OLB in Wade Phillips scheme. He played in a 3-4 at Texas A&M as well.

He represented too much value on my board for me to pass him up for a QB.

He wasn't used as a traditional SLB in Denver, and they encorporated 3-4 looks quite a bit this year, so I don't expect a huge spike up in his performance. But that says more about how he's fared, that it's very difficult to improve on his stellar level of play. Miller is an elite defender and one of my favorite players. Good choice there.

Went with Kaepernick because he is still pretty raw in terms of NFL play and he has a huge upside, some of which we have already seen from him. I think he is poised for a bounceback year.

Thanks for the info.  Looking forward to having him on the Capitol Offenders.

A lot to like and a lot to improve is how I'd put it.  Has all the raw talent needed though.

Manning was 1 of the 2 players I was really interested to where he went, as at most he has 2 years left and he most likely only has 1 year left.

Wow for a 1 year game, you guys actually left me Peyton Freaking Manning. Just wow.

For any idiot who mentions his age, I will throw Brees, and Brady back at you

Can you think of why I didn't draft him.  There, I didn't mention it.

Manning's too old to build a franchise around him. There you go. Now, keep Brady but throw Brees at me, would be a great backup.

Guaranteed 11+ wins and playoff uncertainty

Automatic duh pick at that spot though

Too bad this game only last for 1 year

That is how you view it.  Most other people view it as building a franchise for the upcoming years, hence the inclination for younger players.

There is one big difference between those two and Manning, they don't have a major neck injury. They're old by football standards, but Manning could be one solid hit away from retirement.

I don't know how much Manning's "injury"(the one that came out after he lost to the Colts in the playoffs just in case you were wondering) really affected him last year, his play really dropped off.

I'm gonna explain to you guys what Elway saw back when Manning was cut. You don't take an average at best player over an elite one just because the other guy may be better in the long run. Too many what ifs.

If Manning only plays 1 year and wins a superbowl, do I care if he retires afterwards, probably not

If say kap or Winston play 20 more years in the league and never win, who's franchise did better?

I think it was a combination of the injury and his general decline due to age

Brady has a four game suspension and is as old as Manning. You essentially doom your franchise this year by taking him (granted the picker didnt know this but that what background checks involve). Brees on the other hand has been regressing without injuries which is even worse.

Furthermore, the neck injury has been fine for 2 years now and hasn't affected Manning in the slightest. He is an automatic 10+wins in reg season. He makes his entire team better just by his existence on said team (unlike Brees).

Elway was obviously wrong - how many SBs has he won with Manning?

I think the quad got him more than anything else. Other than that, the offense changed philosophies. Why is anyone's guess (quad injury, age, more effective)

Yeah I still view him as a good QB but he is a guy who I think you are going to have to keep fresh for the playoffs through the regular season as I don't know how he will do throwing the ball 600 times over a 16 game season, then needing to throw a bunch more in the playoffs. He will more likely than not need a strong running game(something Kubiak specializes in) to get him there, kinda like what Elway had with TD

Went to 1 and lost to Steroidal Seahawks

Lost to the flukiest rainbow catch ever vs Baltimore

His resume is awful.

Maybe it's just me but I would take 1 year of Peyton over the length of Winston's entire career lol

Edit: Sorry but Mariota too. I think both are going to bust.

They clearly should have kept Tebow because he was younger and won a playoff game right?

That isn't true.  His arm strength has clearly deteriorated and the main reason is due to his neck surgery.
