Keenan Allen out for year after surgery to stop bleeding on a lacerated kidney. He is expected to recover fully. Tough break for Chargers though.

Last week seems to have more injuries, many season ending, than I can recall over any span in the last few years. It's worrisome that so many key players were lost in 1 week across the league. Even the amount of Chargers banged up or injured enough to leave the game against the Ravens was shocking. It is terrible news for these players and their teams and it's a terrible trend for the NFL. I hope the second half of the season is better on the injury front but injuries usually increase the further the season progresses. Having SSS and other key players throughout the league with season ending injuries is something I hate to see.

More injuries in week nine............

- Patriots RB Dion Lewis tore his ACL and is out for the season.

- Giants confirm that DT Johnathon Hankins tore his Pec and will have season ending surgery.

- Broncos LB DeMarcus Ware to miss 2-4 weeks after aggravating his back injury.

- Eagles LB Jordan Hicks to miss 2-4 weeks with a Pec injury.

Haven't heard or seen anything about it yet... What kind of injury does Ben R have?

Mid foot sprain, expected to miss a few weeks.

Of course Pittsburgb gets to play the Colts without Luck. Good thing the Steelers are 3x more injured than Indy.

I'm not too sure that's a good thing. Hasselbeck played good as a starter when Luck was injured before. So this may be a blessing in disguise for the Colts.

Another faltering season, another mysterious injury for PeyPey.

When you think he will finally pack it in? Injuries are piling up for the guy past couple years, I know he is bound and determined to get another ring though, but I cant see it happening at this point.

I'd imagine this is his last year. If getting benched for Brock Osweiler isn't rock bottom, I don't know what is.

Reminds of Reed who was a shell of his former self when he went to Houston. It was like, we all wished he just retired with Ray instead. Have to wonder if Colts fans kinda feel the same way and that Peyton should have retired after the Super Bowl loss to Seattle instead, he kept playing and now it's just kinda sad to see what he's become.

Yeah, unlike a certain other QB who hit his prime in the 2000s Peyton seems like a really classy guy. It's just his fan base, DBs and GM I really don't like. Take out the DBs and you can pretty much say the same thing about his previous team too.

We need another bed, another player is done for the year. Bengals CB Darqueze Dennard needs shoulder surgery and is out for the rest of the year.

Fears confirmed: Bengals CB Darqueze Dennard needs shoulder surgery and is out for the year, per source.

He's not, tom's got snooty high school jock attitude but he's a great player, peyton yells at scoreboard attendants at games and doesn't perform as great as his legacy worshippers would have you believe.

Peyton went into our locker room and congratulated Ray after losing to him in 2012. Didn't have to do that. I do agree Peyton tries to keep up his image to the national media but I see him as a nice guy. You don't see that with Brady although I don't think Brady cares about people viewing him as a nice guy either.

Looks like this could end up turning into a Tom Brady situation for Brock Osweiler. Drew Bledsoe went down, Brady came in and the Patriots never looked back. Kubiak has said that Manning will miss at least a couple weeks but he is in a walking cast. The games coming up he will miss are against the Patriots, Chargers, Raiders and Steelers.

It's interesting to note that Kubiak said when healthy Peyton will return as their starter, but who knows when that will be.

The Steelers have announced that Ben Roethlisberger suffered a concussion in the loss against Seattle. He will be in the NFL protocol this week and the Steelers aren't sure if he is going to play Sunday Night against the Indianapolis Colts.
