Another Florida team, another rookie injury. Jaguars fourth round pick James Sample broke his right arm on Thursday but is expected to be back for Camp where he is going to compete for the starting FS job.

Sturgis is at under 80% kicking in both of his seasons so far.  Miami could use an upgrade.

Like I said, the only good thing about moving the Extra Point is it puts emphasis on having a good Kicker. It will weed out the bad kickers in a hurry.

If you've ever injured yourself setting off fireworks, Giants DE Jason-Pierre Paul knows how you felt. He has suffered burns on his palm and three fingers. One finger potentially has nerve damage, but early indication says it's not career threatening.

Here's another fireworks incident.

@RavensInsider: Very sad situation involving Buccaneers corner C.J. Wilson, who reportedly lost two fingers in a fireworks accident.

Amputated finger for JPP?? Whoa.

ESPN releasing his medical records is just wrong.

I can't imagine how stupid you have to be to light fireworks when you don't know what you're doing.

Although, I did recently learn that ACell has the capacity to regrow body parts using stem cells from pigs. Getting pro athletes to regrow fingers could really help stem cell funding.

That would be pretty cool. And would hopefully shut the people who go on about sports being meaningless in society up. OK, that might be a little optimistic, but still.

Technology is incredible though.

Just saying, if JPP uses a company to regrow his finger (given the leaked medical report is true), I'm buying stock in them immediately  :P

"Coach told me to be more explosive, isn't this what he meant?"

While being a millionare athlete and not paying for a taxi and getting a DUI is number one, I would say number two is doing something stupid to injure yourself and risk not being able to play and thus effecting your team.

Well unfortunately for JPP someone else who also had a fireworks incident won the award(its off topic so I won't go into detail but just google it).

Fireworks are dangerous. You have to be very cautious and not take chances, like re-lighting fuses that burn down but do not ignite. Hope they can still play at a high level with these bad hand injuries.

Light and throw... is it that complicated? Sorry it happened but gosh... either don't mess with dangerous stuff or spend the extra $ for longer fuses

Not an injury, but Eric Berry is cleared to start practicing Wednesday.  Good to see he'll be back.

OUTSTANDING news!

It seems we know why Ifo Ekpre-Olomu fell hard to the 7th round of the draft. For the Browns, the payoff on taking him will have to wait until 2016. Ifo will likely miss the entire season according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

You know it's training camp when injury news start to come at rapid fire.

- Jets Rookie Receiver Devin Smith has a punctured lung.

- Panthers WR Stephen Hill carted off the field with a right leg injury. In an update, he has torn his ACL and is out for the year.

- Browns Rookie RB Duke Johnson left practice with a hamstring injury. Meanwhile Terrance West left with a calf injury.

Bengals Michael Johnson carted off field with a right knee injury...

On Twitter they are saying it's looking like a sprained MCL
