He's played at FS most of his career.

The boundary between FS and SS has been slowly but steadily disappearing though, so who knows...

We'll wait and see until then hopefully he stays out of trouble. I like will hill roaming the backfield!!

I'm excited to see what the addition of Lewis will bring this year . I also think will hill takes that next step and becomes one of the top tier safety's. Just got that feelin. Not sure what to think about Elam- don't wanna count him out but I ain't gon sugarcoat it- sometimes a bust is a bust.

He's listed as a SS. I know he can play both positions but which one does he play better? I'd like a permanant spot for him instead of dean pees safety rotation. Unless that was for lack of depth last year.

I don't know where Bio got that he was mostly a FS because Antrel Rolle was actually the FS for the Giants during Hill's tenure in New York. He's certainly a better SS than he is FS because while he is a smart, physical, tough player, he just doesn't have the necessary range to play in a single high free safety look, but when you put him in the intermediate range/ask him to play man coverage, he becomes a very dangerous player and one of the best in the league. The fact that he was actually able to play FS as well as he did last year was just a testament to his overall skill set, so imagine what he'll be like when he's at SS and able to maximize his skill set.

Just consider that Kendrick Lewis, a career FS, was just signed. I don't think they'll make Kendrick a SS and make Hill a FS after they've played FS and SS respectively for their careers.

He's played SS most of his career. FS was Antrel Rolle for the Giants.

But, as you said, the boundary is becoming blurred, but while Hill does have the ability to play single high, he doesn't have the ideal range to do it all the time and he certainly matches up better in the intermediate or when he's playing man against TE's.
