[News] Ravens Give Marc Trestman Bears-Like Weapons

40 posts in this topic

Let's not leave Javorius Allen off this list. By all accounts this guy is a decisive north/south runner who also is very good at catching the ball. Not that I want to call him the next Matt Forte, but that is the kind of back that Trestman can really work with. I'm excited to see him complement Forsett in the near term and gradually become our lead back.

Out of all these tall recievers, I'm willing to bet the most productive receiver this season will be the 5'-9" Steve Smith Sr.  LOL.

he better stay with us for years to come and not bolt on us....i understand the position that kubiack has because that's his dream but trestman....no excuse buddy

I concur, Space11Jams,... and it seems that teams just LOVE to harvest our coaching staff, probably due to the continued success we have!

We saw Dick LeBeau stay with that other team for years while we lost Ryan, Pagano and, thankfully, Madison so we do see that sometime there is loyalty to a team and program in the NFL.

We are now enjoying defensive success under Dean Pees and nobody's breaking down the door to get at him, and in my opinion, that's to our benefit!

BUT,... we needed a near "locker room mutiny" to dynamite   :gaah:   a horrible and intrenched Cam Cameron outta here!

So, I'd say, let's cautiously see what we got before we decide b/c Da Bears wasn't giving the Pack "what fer" in our NFC counterpart!

True. I do think we'll have success under Trestman because of history. He should have had it in Chicago but look whose lining up behind the center lol

I think our 6'2, 6'4, and 6'6 WR will have trouble against the Steelers cuz they draft 5'9 Senquez Golson. I'm worried our tall WRs might have neck spasm from looking down to Golson.....

Ummmm.... Marshall and Jeffery plus Forte they put up great numbers but the result is not what we wanted.... I am less worried about numbers and more concerned about their contributions to us winning games. If they are doing that the numbers will take care of themselves... if this is all about producing numbers... we will miss the playoffs like the bears did ! We have a ton of weapons and only one ball.... maybe they don't all have 100 yard rec games but they had a key first down on the game winning drive or they had a key block to spring forsett for the game winning TD... that is the mentality we need here!

I hear you! But we gotta remember offense isnt everything. If flacco has those kind of players, puttng up hose kinds of numbers then our defense(unlike the bears) will seal the deal. Plus I think Joe cool > cutler. We're great at home & a quality road oponent... the bears cant say that.

Let's hope success feeds off of each other! I got nothing good to say about Cutler either! He's like Boller w/ and attitude!

I'd like to see us take it to the SB like 2 wins in a row but I'd settle for two wins in three years and have Trestman ignoring all the offers that would come! I'd like so continuity on OH!
