The Browns always snag the players I hope we get in the later rounds. Don't get me wrong, I think our picks were great, especially our first four. But i really was hoping we would get Duke or Ifo late. Buck Allen seems to be a Forsett like players though with great vision and high character so no complaints.

As a side note, it will be interesting to see if Dupree and Z. Smith embrace the rivalry and become rivals to see who will outshine the other. What would be amazing is if Smith shows off his high-motor and wreaks havoc on Pitt while we rub it in their face that we got him in the fourth!

I actually think the Browns may have had the best draft. People who hate on the Cam Erving pick don't realize that Alex Mack has the option to opt out of his contract after 2015, which he most assuredly will do if he ever wants to win a SB. I also liked their Orchard and Johnson picks--2 players I liked. Gaines is a steal in the 6th, and Ifo was a high-upside gamble in the 7th. They addressed every need except QB.

Bengals and Steelers had mediocre drafts. Bengals drafted for next season by taking two OTs, TE Kroft isn't good at anything, and Paul Dawson is really the only pick I like.

Steelers got good value with Dupree and then reached on 2 short nickle corners after we ruined their Maxx Williams pick. Chickillo and Holliman were good picks late. They didn't do a good job of addressing their needs.

Our strong draft, coupled with the Bengals and Steelers' weak drafts, could set us up nicely for the future. This comes on the heels of a strong 2014 draft, too. I feel like we improved more than our division rivals with this draft.

@ Maryland. I agree with you. Danny Shelton is a stud and Cleveland addressed some real foundational needs. If this draft plays out for them they could be really in two years. Personally I think their biggest challenge will be to keep a coaching staff together. If you look at the rest of the AFC North, one of the reasons why it's a good division is because the core leadership in the coaching staffs has remained constant. If the Browns can keep drafting people like this and keep a core coaching staff together, it could make life real interesting in the AFC North.

I honestly think the AFC North had the best draft as a division this year. Our division just keeps getting tougher, and the Browns still don't have a solid QB yet%u2026 We had the best draft in the division, though. Mel Kiper thinks the Ravens had the best draft in the entire NFL. Mel has been doing this a long time, and he has a very high football IQ. He might not be 100% right about all of his predictions, but he is a great evaluator of talent. If he thinks it is the best, and we all are in love with it, and Ozzie and Harbaugh are in love with it, then I think AT WORST this will still be a top 10 draft of the 2015 draft class in 3 years.

A month ago, I thought Bud Dupree was the CJ Mosley of this draft. A top 10 talent that might fall to us, and take the reigns of a ravens legend (Terrell Suggs), regarding Bud Dupree. However, a week before the draft I changed my mind. Dupree is a great talent, don't get me wrong, but he just didn't seem great to me; plus he still needs a few years to develop. I like the Breshad Perriman pick better, even if Dupree was there, because Perriman is a top 5 talent. If Perriman didn't go to a small school with a bad QB his junior year, and if he didn't miss the combine due to injury, he would have been a top 15 pick.

I'm actually glad the Steelers got Dupree also (groans from our front office noted). The more I saw of him, the less I liked him. Dupree is one heck of an athlete, but he's really raw and may never pan out at the pro level (Jarvis Jones, anyone?).

Not trying to be a homer, but I think his former team mate Za'Darius Smith could have as good as, if not better, career. There was a reason that many scouts kept mentioning that when they put on the tape of Dupree, Smith kept leaping off the screen.

Not to mention how fun it would be to thank Steelers fans (who think they stole one from us) for taking him so we could get the better player 3 rounds later :D

similar to how Mosely panned out to be better than Shazier, wouldn't it be funny is Smith turned out to be better than Dupree?

If you watch Dupree's highlights you can see Smith's motor. However, when you watch Smith's tape you see Dupree taking plays off or getting stuck at the line of scrimage
