Cleveland really has some obnoxious reporters.

Cleveland is just a wreck, period.  They are already starting a QB controversy, and they aren't even in camp, yet.  Which one of our average QBs will we start?  Stick around to find out!  Only, it won't matter....

Oh wait till you see the other AFCN bloggers. They are far worse as homies! Actually Jamison Hensley is the only one that comes across as objective! Go figure...

And NOW we wait.  All these pre season rankings and odds to win don't mean jack when everyone is healthy.  The season can't start soon enough.  Wishing all the players great health and a great season.   LETS GET IT!!

Browns case of sour grapes much? Yup, Baltimore has won the draft. Two rookies prospected as OROY and burn Steelers in round 2? :D Cinci should have gotten a QB too.

I have to thank John Carlson for the Maxx Williams pick. Think about it, had he informed the Cardinals of his retirement prior to the draft I really don't see Arizona trading back to allow either Baltimore or Pittsburgh a shot at Williams. Thanks John, we'll be sending you an official "Thank you" card in the mail.

I really think the Ravens may have one of the most dynamic offenses in the league next season. If Forsett continues the way he played last season, and have Buck in there to slash in some other yards and catches out of the back field, and have Taliaferro get the tough yards... The Ravens added several new pass catchers not only with the two in the draft but also two undrafted. Add on top of that two tight ends in the draft... Offensive line is all returning from last season being the 2nd best O-line in the league and having 2 back ups in Urschel and Hurst that have proven themselves....

Defensive pass rush got new blood with Smith. Jimmy Smith extended his contract in Baltimore. Webb is solid. Pass rush will always be good with Sizzle and Doom. Add in the new defensive front players that will rotate in and out and always proves to be a top 5. Add another cornerback with some of that $10 million cap space thats leftover and extend Yanda, K.O., Tucker, or Upshaw and you are looking at a pretty great team for this season.

I don't think I have seen the roster look this good before the June 1st cuts... It looks like a great team.

As usual,... I'm not going out there, today, on the face of it and saying we'll win the North -- I sure would love that though!  B)

What is already apparent to me, going into 2015's pre-season is:

1. Dean Pees creates better defenses, and makes better game-time adjustments than many here give him credit for,

2. we have year-to-year consistency on defense for the first time in a long time, and

3. we just got younger and faster on defense!

:oldwiseman:

If we straighten out the back 4, there's no reason why we can't be competitive and win the North!  :190048:

Yeah, it must get old for other teams to keep hearing how great our FO does in the draft.  Mr. Pat McManamon, ESPN's Browns reporter is obviously sour about it :229031_rant:  ,  especially having to report the same thing year after year.....Brown's, always in the bottom of the pack......Brown's on their 29th QB since 2009, which one are we gonna go with this year etc, etc.

I am so glad that we have Ozzie Newsome here, sharing his wisdom with Eric Decosta whom I believe will be Ozzie's successor when he finally retires....hopefully later than sooner!! I know I say this every year...but this one has the potential to be another GREAT season......I am saying it again because.....well, because I can't help myself!!! I am so, SO excited for the start of the season....that's a lie I'm just ready for anything football, bring on training camp let's get it rolling boy's!!!! :dancingbanana:

Amazing to think about how successful Flacco and the Ravens offense has been over the years despite the lower priority constantly given to WR's etc in the draft. I know it's unrealistic to expect an immediate impact for rookies to instantly develop and transition to the NFL....but I do think some of these young bucks will make their presence known loud and clear from the get go. Can't wait to see this offense amp it up even further this year.

If the ravens win the north this year I think it will be because our two top draft choices along with Steve and Joe and the rest of the offense all have good seasons. If Dennis comes back even better. I believe we can beat the other three teams at least once and maybe twice. And beat Pittsburgh three times.

Did you get this right, Sarah? I went to the NFL website and found the following ratings:

Steelers 7

Bengals 10

Ravens 13

You might have transposed Steelers and Ravens rankings???

Leave it to Mike Preston to complain the Ravens did not draft a CB in the draft that can step into the nickel package. I fully expect Ozzie to sign a CB between now and preseason camp to fill that void (if not 2). Essentially from here on out any veteran player that is signed won't affect compensatory picks next year. And as always the Ravens will have 3 to 4 comp picks in the 2016 draft as it is.

Oh Wow, What a story, I've always said we needed some good WR and we've got a Miracle, 3 of them In facts. That was a very powerful video of Perriman. Never before have we've been favored to win anything. I'm feeling at least 6 Super bowls in the next 10 years if everything goes according to the plans

“Waah, waah, waah. Cry me a Chesapeake from the guy in Baltimore who would probably defend Art Modell in Cleveland,” wrote ESPN Browns reporter Pat McManamon. “Go have some more crabby cakes, Mr. Hensley.”

nope...i dont see any bias here at all, dont know what you're talking about.

Lots of ppl on here find it funny that the dude needs inspiration from Perriman to live when he has hot wife in his arm? Lots of things going on in this country and around the world, hard to tell what a person thinks.

Anyway, I love the draft and we should get back to the AFC championship this year....

Did anyone notice that Perriman caught the ball with his hands instead of allowing it to come into his body? That's a lot of confidence. I like that.

I'm going to step in and defend the lowly Browns. This article states, "The Browns were still the Browns, failing to come out of the draft with a quarterback or a top-tier wide receiver."

The reason the Browns have failed in years past is because they tried against odds to come out of the draft with a QB when none existed. There wasn't one this year either, so why repeat the mistakes of Weeden and Manziel? While there were good WRs available to them, why pick one who will struggle because of the QB issue?

They spent their 1st 2 picks right where they needed - in the trenches. They sure could have done worse.

I guess the Browns are just seriously "snake-bitten"! I mean they draft a ton of guys each year and still can't put it together!

It's not a player problem, or maybe not a FO problem,... it must go straight to the top - to ownership!

Since we became the Ravens, we have had 2 franchise-changing drafts, 1996 with Lewis & Ogden and 1997 with Sharper, Boulware and picking up Siragusa! Art Modell allowed Ozzie to build a solid foundation then, which bore fruit in 2000 and still serves us well today!

The Browns have has many combinations of GMs, HCs, FAs and draft picks through a revolving door and haven't been able to solidify a core in coaching, FO, or on the field. It ain't their fault,... they're snake-bitten!!!

I'm noticing the trend with how Ravens scouts seem to highly value the EW Shrine Game and Senior Bowl. I know Boyle, Carl Davis, Crockett Gilmore, and Brandon Williams all stood out in their Senior Bowls, and there's probably more than that. Plus DeCosta said they value senior bowl performances during a post-draft presser the other day.
