Only thing that ever matters are the W's, as long as Joe gets us enough to make the dance, then January Joe can light it up as usual....:)

I would love to see Flacco fired up! Knowing Flacco, he is a guy that is involved with his family right now. He will become involved fully in football at the right time. That is just the kind of guy he is. A family man when he needs to be that, and a football player when he needs to be that! That is what makes Joe Flacco unique.

Can we start calling Maxx Williams "Dos Equis." Then we that could make Joe the most interesting man on earth.

"I don't always throw touchdowns, but when I do, they're to Dos Equis

Who cares what the fantasy fools think. There aren't many teams out there that wouldn't kill to have Flacco as their starting QB. I would take Flacco over Manning any day if I had to win a big game. Manning only has a SB win because that year they had a really good defense, they won in spite of Manning. In the 4 playoffs games the year Manning won his ONLY SB, he had 3 TD's and 7 INT's!

We pretty much shut him down that year in the playoffs, but unfortunately, our offense was non-existent in that game.

I think the FO is committed to Joe, like they are to Harbs....Flacco has never had a losing record as a pro QB, and has either the most wins or close to it since he has been in the league.....In our 20 year history we have never had a franchise QB until Joe, and no way we let him go anywhere...He has had 4 OC's yet he keeps adjusting and winning, this might be the first time in a while he might have somewhat of of a similar offense with Trestman....And Joe fits the Ravens image, everyone hates us, and wants to disrespect us, until they can't, because we are almost always make the dance, and never one and done, and winning most playoff games on the road... :)

To illustrate your point, the typically Ravens hating Herm Edwards praised Joe after realizing that he just couldn't praise Ben. Now it seems like it is getting harder and harder for media pundits to keep disparaging Joe Flacco since it makes them look foolish!

I guess we will finally put to rest the questions regarding if Flacco had round 1, A grade WR talent would he and the Ravens be able to develop it. I think that Ozzie has put the talent there one year before Flacco's contract will be reworked to see if he can take that talent and do something with it. We know the Ravens don't let dust settle on players too long and it's not outrageous to think the Ravens might look to make a change if Joe doesn't end up producing with this much talent around him and this good of a front line. I am not advocating they do it I am speculating that with the organizations history would the FO consider it.

Yeah, Ozzie decided to draft 2 pass catchers early to find out if he wants to keep his SB MVP winning qb that has won more total games and more playoff games than anyone since being in the league while piling up some all-time postseason records for both wins and stats, can run many different types of offenses, leads his team under pressure, and can make every throw with ease. If he doesn't instantly put up better regular season stats with 2 rookies, Ozzie will get tired of going deep into the playoffs and go look for a qb that better suits his fantasy team. That's not outrageous at all.

First offensive play of 2015: Flacco throws an 80 yard bomb to Perriman on a deep post route for a TD.

Any one besides me get irritated at the Scout's "Position Strengths and Weaknesses" pieces on everybody. I mean really, what did they say about every guy that became great in the NFL? to me its all the same stuff, hes so great...hes so great, followed by hes so terrible...hes so terrible. Not to mention that all those things mean nothing for the most part when it comes to the Ravens because we make avg players Great and Great ones into HOFers. Cant wait to shut up the ones that gave us Avg scores for the draft. They act like it wasnt ozzie that picked em

I'd love for Perriman to come in and show us a Randy Moss rookie season, but let's be careful not to put too much faith in them being world beaters on day 1.

Agree, Perriman and Williams need some time to acclimate. By week 10 they should be hitting their stride as we make our run for the playoffs.

Firepower! SSS inside with Maxx and Perriman and Marlon Brown on outside! Pitta please have a great recovery. We would be incredibly gifted at moving the chains

The thing that excites me the most for the new WR class is that they have Steve Smith Sr there to teach and mentor them. I don't think there is a better WR player who embodies how to play like a Raven (he is a natural Raven). Plus for those who caught it, Perriman said that in addition to being and playing tall, he likes to play like a short wide receiver too because they have unique skills (I'm paraphrasing here) but the key for me was to hear him state that he knows that there are many skill sets and he likes to incorporate many types into his game. That is incredible maturity and wisdom for his age. I'm sure his pop and Michael Irvin had something to do with that, but the man had to have it in him to realize and understand that is something to develop in the first place. I'm really excited about his potential.

This is music to my ears ! Joe has always made the best of things with what he was given. In 2012 it was a Super Bowl caliber winning offense. In 2013 he was forced to throw and with much less nearly had us in the playoffs. This group may turn out to be the best he has ever had. With the current group of players/contracts if things gel, the Ravens could rule the AFC on both sides of the ball for the next 2 years.

We were fortunate to have the Falcons new coaches drafting defensively in rounds 1 and 2. Had they kept (Smith) their former coach TE Maxx Williams would have been gone for sure and maybe WR Perriman too. It was good timing.

Not having Pitta wouldn't spell "Doom" for our season; however, a player of Pitta's caliber is always a necessity for a football team.

Disagree. The offense performed just fine without him and actually went on to be one of the best offenses in Ravens history. It wasn't the offense that let the Ravens down.

While it may not be a necessity, having a healthy Pitta would have made our offense even better. We did have one of the best offenses in Ravens history, but if we have Pitta, he could have been the difference between some touchdowns and FGs in the redzone. I remember Daniels missing a ball in the back of the endzone late in the fourth quarter at New England in the playoffs. While it would have been a tough catch, I still firmly believe a healthy Pitta makes that catch. But I agree that our offense wasn't what let us down, injuries let us down.

Read J.O.1.4's comment because he got exactly the point I was trying to make

I just don't know if that ball in NE was catchable, even for Pitta, unless he has a wing span that's a good deal longer because that ball hit Owen's outstretched hand in the palms, but it was the bottom of the ball. He would have had to make a Randy Moss type snag to catch that. I don't know that would be catchable for anyone who wasn't a good three or so inches taller.

I agree 100%,... but, we said the same about Ogden, Lewis (both Ray and Jermaine) and countless other Ravens!

When it's time to turn the page,... you know, Alaska, it's "next man up"!

Winning the SB HAS gotten him recognition, but it hasn't made believers out of everyone.  Getting that 2nd SB puts QBs in another level, and honestly believe that Joe can win at least 2 more SBs in the Harbs era

Who would you rather have as QB?  Joe Flacco (1 ring, 1 SB MVP) or Eli Manning (2 rings, 2 SB MVPs).

I want Joe!   For the 19 or 20 games a season it takes!!

joe can get fired up all he wants, but if the secondary can't stop other teams, it mean nothing.

Joe better be fired up after throwing our season away against the pats could have done a rollout to the TE or something SMH! And blaming the secondary and still having a chance to win is getting "OLD"! The secondary was banged up "TRUE" but the Ravens "STILL" had a chance to win! No more excuses JOE! LETS DO THIS!

Perhaps Joe won't have any kiddo's on the way at playoff time this year. Laser concentration at that time of year is essential.

There's a different aura around Flacco when he's fired up, he looks more determine and serious, wouldn't you say. For the first time since I've been a member of this Ravens News Website, I feel Joe will put up some amazing points on the scoreboard this year but....It's all up to the Defense to keep the ball in Flacco's hands.
