[News] Ravens Rookies Assigned Jersey Numbers

Perriman should have chose a number in the 80's, I love jersey numbers in the 80'S for WR's, but #18 is cool, I just want to see him play.

I like 37 for javorius allen but it would have been kinda cool to have 27 even though asa has it only because he kinda reminds me of ray a lil

Perriman should have gotten 82. I just think 82 looks like a fast receiver's number.

@sami I do think Darren Waller should wear number 83 to remind me as Vincent Jackson a big body fast receiver hope he plays with the first team with Flacco during the preseason. Steve Smith can hold out some reps because we all no what he could do let some of these young guys play out got to develop them.

I remember, way back in the days of the dinosaurs, Raymond Berry wore no. 82. No, he wasn't a fast receiver. he was just an acrobat who never dropped a pass. Perriman is fast. Let's hope he can mimic the fakes and moves that made Berry a Hall of Famer and still hang on to the ball. The number on your jersey doesn't make you more talented.

Though Perriman is our #1 pick, I really think Darren Weller may be one of those Ozzie picks that is a gem that was overlooked. Not much out there of him to see but he just glides across the ground, really soft hands and great foot control along the sidelines. He has no college yardage to speak of but the offense he was in was a run first pistol style offense and there wasn't much for Waller to do. However, when they did decide to pass, he didn't drop anything close to him. I am really anxious to watch him.

I hate the number 8 on our jerseys. They just look bad

Sorry but I would have to respectfully disagree. Personally I like the 8's, especially for receivers.

18 for perriman just doesn't look rite, I hope it's temporary.

I agree. I wish he could somehow get his father's #80. That would be kind of cool.

gotta agree with you here.

In fact 88 might be my favorite.

As the title suggests', the numbers were assigned! I doubt the kids were given a choice.

it's a little misleading. players can select the number they wish to wear as long as it is available and it is within the numbering restrictions, which is why you hear of rookies trying to buy numbers from vets every year

I'm happy that #34, the number I wore in amateur ball is still good to go being personalized,....but I want to see #18 & 87 become one of the more popular jerseys, starting this season!

I don't know if Asa Jackson is trying to make us forget he was #25 or if the Ravens are still trying to make us forget that Rice was #27.
