[News] Reports: Ravens Adding Undrafted Free Agents

53 posts in this topic

I don't usually pay much attention on undrafted rookies but after looking up all those players, that list looks pretty darn good and we just got much stronger, at least in depths. I love our picks and who we got as undrafted rookies. This is shaping up to be a good year for the Ravens. Can't wait to see them in action.

I just want at least 1 of these guys to make the team and play for an extremly long succesful NFL career but 2 or more would be better. This is the time of year thats awesome because here is where the compitetion starts to heats up and it really gets hot towards the last pre-season game. Who wants to be a Raven? GO RAVENS....

Wow! just realized Perry didn't get drafted. That is a huge signing. Plus I know that both DePriest and Wilson are great ball players. We might already know we have some gems found.

Ozzie is one hardworking man, he never sleeps, were so lucky to have him. We can talk about surrounding Joe with weapons all we want but Ozzie is the ultimate weapon on this team.

could be at least 3 on this list that will make the roster and another 2 or 3 to the practice squad

"The Ravens haven't brought in kickers or punters in recent years".. Actually we didn't draft any, but we had Richie Leone last offseason, if I'm correct. What's the saying? 'You can never have enough pass rushers'?. I like the competition they brought in there.

Dont forget about the guys who get cut from their teams because they have drafted someone to take the veterans spot. Oz is good at picking up veterans free agents who get cut.

Pretty decent urf. Hope they develop like our guys did last ur, they were awesome. Definitely a typo on here saying Nick Perry had 6 int, he only had 2 I think they meant 6 pd. If that were the case I don't think he would have went undrafted.

We need a guy like Julian Wilson to pan out and be really good. The more the rules change, the more precious corners become. Let's hope he is this year's Dannell Ellerbe or Marlon Brown.

better start looking at kickers. tucker is going to be e-x-pensive. rather pay the money for tuck than not; and have someone like cundiff.

I like Wilson from Oklahoma. I hope he pans out for us. I also dig the pickup of a Center from Harvard. The last one we had from there worked out pretty well for us, hopefully Easton will too.

If some can make the PS that's a start, but the Ravens have a history of encourage UDFAs to sign with them by annually selecting 1 or 2 of them to the 53-man team. Even for the undrafted, the Ravens offer a player hope of fulfilling his dream.

Am excited to see these new guys come the preseason games. Hope that we have quite a few that can make it to be on the active rooster or give us additional depth on the PS. Now all of them have to learn what "Play like a Raven" means. They will also have to really work on conditioning. The AFCN is a very physical division and I am sure none of them have experienced anything near the physicality of this kind of football. Congrats and good luck to all of our new guys. Welcome to the Ravens

Shouldn't we "draft" Ozzie 100 assistants to learn at his feet?

so they can go on and spread his secrets to other teams across the NFL? absolutely not. haha

I can't believe the Alabama guys went undrafted. they were pretty good in college. Plus they have Alabama lineageĀ

Ravens had a tremendous draft despite the fact that the usual suspect franchises didn't make nearly as many head scratching "mistakes" as in years previous for them to exploit. That said, this was the first Ravens draft I can remember where there are no apparent "what were they thinking" picks, and they had 9 (really 10) opportunities to do so. I am stoked for this roster, and the UDFA list looks promising as well. I guess the only question I have is who the return man will be.
