Welcome to Baltimore: Nick Boyle and Robert Myers

I would like to see 3 TE sets with Perriman or Waller as the WR! Hard to stop. With Perriman in play they can't bring up a safety and with 3 TEs the mismatches would be plenty!

I actually kinda like this idea, maybe John will take a page out of Jim's book from stanford. Gilmore, Boyle, Williams, Allen, and Perriman all in...Allen is a great receiver at the RB position and thats two big blockers and a whole lotta size and height for teams to cover around the goal line. What I really like about our TEs is even if Gilmore and Boyle may not stretch the field, all 3 have hands to catch. As we saw with Dickson it doesnt matter how well you can stretch the field if you can't catch, I'd much rather have savvy tight ends who can catch than fast ones who cant

It seems like Boyle is really similar to Gilmore: good blocker, needs to develop as a pass-catcher.

I always thought 1 blocking TE was enough. Now we have 2 good blockers and 1 decent blocker in Gilmore, Boyle, and Williams. Maybe they're planning on doing some different things in the redzone, like playing a lot of TEs every snap, since you not only have to defend the run but also prepare for the pass /w some big TEs. Could be interesting, especially if Gilmore and Boyle develop as pass-catchers.

I believe it was Mayock who put it best. We basically have one receiving TE (Williams), one blocking TE (Boyles), and one middle of the road guy (Gillmore). That sounds fine to me.

Boyle just looks like a beast. He's definitely gonna be one of our top blockers and will really help us in double tight end sets. Trestmans gonna have a ball creating a play book for this roster.

Boyle will beat Crockett in production AND in blocking.

Let's just wait for a bit. However, Boyle does look beastly! Crockett however came on strong as well.

No wait for me, I knew the moment we picked Boyle, i said "well there goes Crockett"   Boyle is a better player than Gilmore in every phase of the game.   Crockett will turn out to be the next Jah Reid of the team (wasted space/opportunity)

I don't know about you, but I thought he was solid this past season. Unlike Jah, at least we've seen Gilmore produce on the field.

Much insight. So analysis.

Boyle is a better player than Gillmore in every phase? Based on what? A strong OTA showing? Ooooh, we have an OTA warrior! I'm not discounting Boyle but c'mon and get real. You just love to hate players.

Boyle really needs to put on a good camp to even sniff the field with Williams and Gilmore. If Pitta returns, he's going to have to put in a great camp to even make the active roster.

I love the depth on this team offensively. A lot of competition for spots/playing time.

The second you compared Crockett to Jah Reid, some credibility evaporated. Sorry.

Crockett, the guy that was named the #1 rookie TE last year on PFF based pretty much on how good he is at run blocking? Which is extremely good for a TE nevertheless a rookie. Kid is staying awhile.

Yea...between the overrating of M. Brown and the underrating of Gilmore...I'm not really what some of these fans were watching last season lol.

You can't compare Gilmore to Reid. Reid was a total let down...and to think it was the guy that kept us from drafting Dez hurts even more. I hate to even bringing it up but that makes Reid an even bigger let down. I honestly think that Gilmore can be a productive player year 2, I don't remember him dropping any of the passes thrown his way, he also has a knack for scoring against Pittsburgh.

Huh? Jah Reid was drafted in 2011. Dez Bryant came out in 2010. What am I missing here? I am genuinely confused.

I really like what I've heard regarding Boyle. I liked him a lot but I'll be honest...I was apprehensive to take him because of Gino. Yes one Delaware guy worked out but Gino kinda scared me away a bit. I'm pretty excited for Boyle after what I read. He seems like he could be a really good TE.

I feel like after all is said and done, we may end up having the best TE group in the NFL with Boyle, Williams and Gillmore! These 3 can be rotated and help create severe headaches for D coordinators!

I don't like bringing it up too much, I don't want to seem petty but yeah, we wanted Dez and we're ready to move up to secure it, NE wanted a 3rd round pick, but that was too much, so we let Dallas jump and take him. That 3rd round pick was for next year and it turned into Jah Reid.

I probably shouldn't have brought it up and it is best to leave it be since Perriman is here

Really? Huh I didn't know that. Well, under those circumstances I can see why you'd be a bit salty. I think we even traded up for Reid. Pretty sure we did actually. That means he cost us Bryant, our third as well as some late round pick.

Yes, we did trade up for Jah Reid, which is why I'm salty about him. He was supposed to be an absolute mauler at RT. Some GMs reportedly said he had LT potential with the right coaching. Damn shame he didn't get it together.

Yeah I just looked up his draft profile for kicks to see what people said about him. I remember New Orleans wanting him for their team and they were disappointed they didn't get him. Turns out we're the ones left holding the bag.

Funny how a lot of his strengths turned out to be his weaknesses as a pro. I just don't think he loves football and dedicated himself.

Just looked it up...we traded a sixth round pick to move up and select Reid. Who did the Eagles take with that pick? Their center, Kelce, who has played pretty well

I think you're right about him not loving football. From that scouting report: "Doesn't drive legs and get much movement off the ball...  Awareness is below average. Doesn't play with much of a mean streak." Those three things indicate to me that he's not all that into football.

Yeah. And guess what? We gave up our sixth round pick to move up to get him. That sixth round pick became Kelce from Philadelphia. Could've really used him.
