[News] Did Ravens Steal Maxx Williams From Steelers?

51 posts in this topic

Watch as he finds holes all over against that Steeler defense. Glad he is here. So much talent in the 1st and 2nd round for offense. 3rd round pick of Davis was also solid. Very excited for this next season and this has already played out better than I ever imagined.

The camera wasn't at its widest angle when the question was asked but Decosta did a hilarious job of leaning towards Ozzie to get in the shot and flash his grin while Ozzie was answering.

Love these guys!!

I never really figured we love having extra picks to turn around and use them to trade up. But that's nice to hear, especially that we got the best TE in the draft, along with a play making WR, one of the best in the draft at his position, as well. So now, I'm guessing we're going to 'Go get' some defensive backs, right? Maybe there's another surprise or two awaiting, too, who knows?

This may be my favorite pick of the draft not only because I like Williams a lot for where we got him, but because it really clock-blocked the Steelers and forced them to reach on a short nickle CB who should have been a day-3 pick. Well done, Oz, well done.

I watched the conference and just as Ozzie was saying, that he wasn't getting at Pittsburgh, I saw Eric next to him with canary feathers on his lips :D Gotta love DeCosta!

At that, I am thrilled about Maxx and about Breshad.

Even if Pittsburgh wasn't going for Maxx Williams and we didn't jump them for him, I believe he will have a very negative affect on them when our teams meet ! What's up with the two play highlights film on him ? There is better film of him on YouTube .

Given that Pittsburgh drafted a TE later in this draft is a pretty decent indicator that there was a real risk that they were all set to turn in a draft card on their 2nd round pick with Williams' name on it.

On one hand, a guy might be a little disappointed when they fall a little farther than they were projected, but on the other hand, a guy has to love when they see a team trade up to get them. What a compliment. I'm sure he plans on coming in and working hard to prove he's worth the team's effort to get him, as he said in his interview.

This draft is very good the only two players the Ravens should've gotten was Stefon Diggs he could been a playmaker for us using deep threat ability and punt returner ability. He could make a special play for us. The other one they should've gotten was Ifo Ekpre-Olomu. I know he had a injury on his knee but he could turn out a great slot corner for us and he plays big for a corner for his size. We could went back in the draft and pick him but I guess Ozzie know better players. Between the two I really wanted Diggs. Maxx Williams is a great pick one of my best pick in this draft and I like the number 87 looks beastly. Hope Pitta comes back because I will love to see number 88 and number 87 on the field along with Gillmore 80.

Gotta love the draft every year its the same. Fans of every team get really excited over players they most of the time never even heard of. Then they act like little mel kipers with their breakdown of the players they never heard of. Its pretty entertaining reading fans comments.

LOL.....gotta love it. Both the Steelers and the Ravens tried to get the pick from Az. Now I wonder if Bruce Arians had a say in the matter. I guess "forced retirement" isn't soon forgotten. THANKS BA

Honestly, I really see no weaknesses on our team if everybody stay healthy. Hope Ozzie sign a quality corner during the 53 man cuts before the season starts. Wish that they would've sign Tramon Williams before the Browns got him he would solidify the secondary but hope a quality corner gets cut then will be good to go.
