gold nameplates

the gold nameplates on every draft picks jersey last night looked horrible on most jerseys, but it looked absolutely amazing on the ravens jersey. i would love to see us do that for real, it accents the number trim and the subtle hints of gold in both of our logos, i thought it looked every bit as classy as the white nameplates and it added alot of life to the uniform with just a subtle change. 

 

would anyone else like to see this?

I actually liked it on the purple, but not sure gold would ever go with a black jersey

i think it would look even better! i dont think it would stand out enough on our white jersey though, although the white jerseys makes the gold outline on the numbers really pop, so maybe it would still look awesome

I must agree, the gold would look good on the purple and black jerseys. Would be nice if they'd incorporate the gold lettering on our jerseys with the 20 years patch for the anniversary.

Are you sure you want Black and Gold together? Just joking, it may actually look good on our jerseys. I was kidding about that color combination being associated with a certain Western PA city.

THANK YOU! Steeler fans always say how its black and gold. Gold is the rams current uniforms. Yellow is definitly what the steelers have.

Agreed, and I have that argument all the time with my wife The only team that finally went to a more true gold color is the Penguins. The Pirates color looks like an old mustard. And I am sorry, I did not mean to side track your thread, I was trying to bring a little humor. I did like the gold name plates and it was very observant of you to pick up on it from the draft as I did not think about it at the time I saw it as a possible future uniform change.

Sounds like one of those colours people make up to say it's different to what it is - like "pomegranate" or "feldgrau".
