Welcome to Baltimore, Breshad Perriman

Here's what I know/think I know:

-I trust our front office to the utmost

-If Marcus Peters was on the board he would be a Raven, but neither he nor Johnson were making it anywhere near us

-Breshad Perriman has all the tools to be the best receiver in Ravens history and one of the best in the league on the high end; a bigger, stronger, faster Torrey Smith (which was the difference last year, not on one play but over the course of the season) on average; or a colossal bust on the low end

-We had our pick of Strong, Dorsett and Perriman, telling me that our board values measurables and interviews more than I thought they did

He is like a Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones mix. I was hoping for a WR pick.

So a combination of two players that made huge impacts in the games we won over the last four seasons?

I'll take it! Welcome Breshad! Hopefully you'll reach your potential!

whelp we didnt take devin smith (for a reason), this is a breshard perriman tread. so keep your waahtitube away from this thread.

Welcome to Bmore Perriman!

Waahtitude? Did you not see the part where I said I don't dislike this pick and said now was a good time for a project receiver due to having SSS on the team? I'm not whining. I'm glad we gave the offense a weapon with high potential.

Welcome and good luck. I wonder what his number will be. I kind of like the look of 11.

Kamar has the reigns on 11

You have really no idea what you are talking about.  Jacoby for one is not a physical player.   Perriman is somewhat like Torrey in that they both can play with injuries, able to play well in vertical routes and both do not need to change physical weight/build.

It is true that Perriman has some serious dropsies but i think the big problem with him is his lack of motivation to handle difficult playbook.  He is more of a 'lets wing it and see what happens' kind of player.   He is not a disciplined, he knew he had a bad QB and only played yards that he knew would produce.

Ego/Major motivation factor is probably the biggest caution for him.   But if he starts struggling early(and i hope our coaches pushes him hard), he is going to realize very fast how fast that bust factor will be stamped on his face if he does not PAY ATTENTION during practice.

He was ranked at 14-15 on our big board. That's pretty darn high.

Steal of the 2nd round. Screen shot it

6 receivers went in the first round, none of them being jaelen strong.. coincidence? nope, truth.

One thing everyone is forgetting is the for. Perriman is the exact type of WR we want with Trestman and Joe

Happy. I wanted him.

Some of those drop highlights did scare me tho.

Just heard an interview with harbaugh and he said they're gonna let him do returns as well.....why in the world would u let a guy with drop issues return as well?

One thing that I do really like about Perriman is his ability to extend the arms and catch with his hands. He doesn't let the ball get to his body very often.

training camp and preseason will determine that. harbaugh is prob just stoked on the pick. i dont blame him.

Gee, didn't realize teams were right with every pick they made, heaven forbid a 2nd round receiver proves to be worth more than a first round receiver at the end of the day. You are making me defend a receiver I am not even a fan of so that should be telling about the argument you are using.

You're exactly right. Big bodied and fast are what is needed in Trestman's system. Perriman fits the bill.

If you hate the pick I'm definitely feeling more optimistic about him.

maybe if you even understood the "argument", was that perriman was chosen over strong for a reason. strong was projected to go first round, hence why he mentioned a "steal" in 2nd round. theres no steal when everyone already knows he'll bust. has nothing to do with players being drafted in different rounds and producing after being projected to be drafted that round. get with the program.

If it were nor for his pro day he would have been a late second round pick. He may have run 4.22 but on tape he doesnt look much faster than a typical 4.3-4.4

Really

Overrated. I loved the mosley pick last year. Reall football player. This is a massive step backwards

I think there are some real differences between Perriman and Elam. The real question for me is football IQ. If Perriman is football smart and wants to do well, he'll be a good WR and the problems will get fixed. If not, he will be a bust. I'm hoping he wants to be a winner.
