Willis Saves Us Again

64 posts in this topic

mcclain is just average our o-line makes him look better then he is. willis makes our offense more explosive and so much better. he should be starting.

not to mention the fumble could have hurt

Willis looked good! But that should have been a TD if he was in better shape. I have stood up for Willis thru everything but his lack of conditioning made that TD run a tackle at the 1

Willis is too risky. He doesn't block and he is iffy when we need him to make a play when we are trailing.

We need everyone to play well, but we should stick with our pro-bowler. He got us here.

Some people just aren't pleased....should he be starting? not quite...but holy crap, how many McGahee topics will turn into a bashing mob. It couldn't POSSIBLY be that the Miami safety was faster than McGahee, no, of course not, impossible.

Good Job McGahee, you're still great in my books.

no it was actually willis looked as slow as hell, it was like it was in slow mo the speed he was running lol
you have to admit he looked slow but he used his freakish stiff arm to full effect on that run

McClain buttered up that defense for McGahee's long run. McClain is our best back, he punished the defense.

And the game was already in the bag by the time Willis did anything.

Give me whatever you're smoking.

You got this from me cause this is what im saying mcgahee is our star, expensive, good running back so why not start him, and he also is playing like last year finally.

That is a joke right? he played great, but saved us? I dont think so. McClain is not just an average runner and McGahee has major ball control issues

It's better to put the nail in the coffin that leave it open. 2 TD's away from winning the game is not impossible, I've seen crazier things.

mcclain didnt do anything to the d. the run was all willis. and if he doesnt make that run miami gets the ball back down 11 with all their time outs. im not sayin they woulda won but the games alot closer. also if miami scores a td off the mcclain fumble that changes the game as well. and dont say you wouldnt be calling for mcgahees head if he was the one who fumbled

Willis is great but McClain is starting for a reason. He powers through the toughest O lines and that run probably wouldnt have happened if we werent pounding at them. Remember no one couldnt run on us until the Giants big back imposed his will on us

I think McClain should continue to be the starter. He continues to get us the yards we need and then some.

mcgahee does the same thing now plus hes back to like he was last year , would you rather have a slow fb starting or your star running back getting back to the way he was the year before when he had a great year. Plus mcgahee is a rb and Mcclain is a fb .

McClain clearly wore that defense down. For anyone to say he didnt is wrong. McGahee is a good back, and so is McClain. Can we just leave it at that lol. Why can't we just continue to let McClain start and bring in McGahee periodically for a change of pace.

Yeah, I'm getting really tired of McClain dropping the ball. I'm not sold on McClain; I wouldn't rely on him as our only starter (fortunately we don't have to). But, he has a certain role on this team and he does it very well. And his role is crucial to our offense, especially our fourth quarter heriocs.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

all im sayin is the offense did just enough to win this game. the defense clearly won it for us. the dolphins won the time of possesion and the yards were about even. without the turnovers this game comes down to the wire. we had way too many 3 and outs and the competition is only gunna get harder. im not putting any blame on mcclain but i want this team to succeed. mcgahee woulda been over 100 yards with mcclains carries. use mcclain for goaline and short yardage start mcgahee. also, willis can be used in the passing game mcclain can't and obviously willis can block if he subs in for mcclain on passing situations.

McClain 19-75
McGahee 7-62

I like a combination. As long as that turnover happens this game and not the next. I wouldn't say McClain has a problem holding the ball. Hopefully we can throw Ray Rice in the mix soon. A little more balance between the backs would be nice. Hopefully McGahee gets more carries than 7 and also gets healthier, more explosive.

We need to keep at the run ..and how about some #27 ... RRice needs to get back involved ... also Mcclain scares me with his ball security, or lack of ..He has put the ball on the ground way too much ....

McGahee made ONE good play. But seriously he didnt save anything. I think our defenses FIVE turnovers and TD, is what saved us again.

In the 4th QTR with under 6 mins to play. :P

I knew he was going to break a big run today. Hopefully we can use him and Rice more against the Titans.

1 good play out of 7 total runs isn't that bad in my book.

Dido, all is takes is one good game. Who ever collaborates better with the Oline deserves the spot. I haven't seen a concrete reason to drop McCain from the starting position.

Is McCain 100% > McGahee 75%?
