The had to put a 2nd round tender on him.  I honestly think a 3rd round tender wouldn't have been enough to keep a desperate team away from trying to aquire him.

Tucker's biggest strength is not his leg; it is his heart and ability to handle any kind of in game pressure which is most critical for a kicker.

 

He got his money worth due to that.....

Yep. I think it's 1st, 2nd, or Original, which for Tucker means no compensation. We were more or less forced to put a 2nd round tender on him with the possibility of a 1st.

Should the Ravens lock him up now, or wait until next February to look into it?  The last time we signed a kicker to a great deal, he didn't pan out (wide left!).  Just saying I don't think it hurts to wait until next year - I don't see his value going up much between now and then, and Tucker is already great.

this guy has already panned out and then some- I don't even want the possibility of him getting snatched up by another team. I want him to retire a raven, tucker is as cool as a cucumber and you don't never see him sweat.

What you said! All the kickers ahead of him are over rated, over paid, and do not mean as much to there teams as Justin does! A class act, model citizen, stick as many of the old cliché's on him as you want, this kid is the real deal! Love his style, on and off the field and oh yeah, not a bad kicker either!!
