Yes and other teams requested the same exact thing and were denied

This whole thread is a joke now

Tbh you could say this about a lot of Ravens Talk. The persecution complex is strong with this fanbase (though to be fair, I guess a lot of other fanbases also feel like the league's conspiring against them - it just doesn't seem as bad).

And the teams on our schedule will finally see a healthy Ravens secondary with a ferocious pass rush.

Doubt it, when is our secondary EVER healthy? Someone's always injured. Pretty much a garentee that Webb or Jimmy won't make it through the season.

No, they specifically requested Oak/San Fran back to back so they could remain a week in the bay area without travel. Not the same thing in any universe of the idea.

Well if we're staying out west between SF and ARZ, I really wouldn't consider it a big deal, even if it is more travel than SF and OAK.

SF to ARZ is still very little travel by NFL standards.

SF to Arizona is the equivalent of the Ravens going to Jacksonville for a road game. I don't constitute that as 'little' travel compared to the rest of the NFL teams. We could probably get to over half of the NFL teams with less travel.

Well would you rather take a long trip to SF, come back and take another trip to ARZ and back later in the year? Evidently, the front office thinks not.  I remember a few years ago, the 49ers traveled to Cincy, then stayed east for a week before playing the Eagles in Philly.  Similar thing here.

And for what it's worth, we have an extra day to travel because the Cardinals game is Monday Night.

Not disagreeing with the premise of your whole post. The comment about it being little travel in the NFL is the only portion I had a gripe about.

You show me where a west coast team had back to back away games on the east coast , TWICE , and I'll shut up .

Otherwise , you are wrong . Show me the schedule , go back 10 years if you have to

Traveling west to east is much faster too .

Faster? Why does faster matter?

What you're failing to recognize is that teams traveling from West to East typically play at 1pm ET, meaning its 10am PT. You won't be finding any West coast NFL football games starting at 10am, I can guarantee you that.

When a team travels East to West, they play at 4-430pm ET, or, 1-30 PT. So basically, a team traveling West still plays their game on Sunday at the same time they would have played it on the East coast, after accounting for the time change. You don't get that benefit when you travel East, unless the East coast game is at 4-430 ET, which is rare.

What we KNOW, for a fact, is that the Ravens requested something very similar to this. So either the Ravens voluntarily are choosing to torture themselves (seems a bit unlikely), or they too see the value in lumping the west coast trips together.

You're trying to create a problem out of something that isn't a problem.

That first stretch is tough, but then it evens out because we get Home,Bye,Home,Home,Cleveland (Just as good as home)

I don't like that week 1 at Denver, but hey bring em on. Who's to say that we can't beat Denver? Last time I checked, they didn't win the Superbowl last year either.

Denver's 50/50 to me. They have a lot of changes, we have a lot of changes.

It really depends on what Peyton we see.

Good Peyton=Loss

We have never beaten Peyton when he is on his game . Ever .

He wasn't off his game in the playoffs....

even though we benefited from a non call that gave us 7 points...

He never plays that well in cold weather . He was slightly off his game and would have won if the bomb to Jacoby

didn't happen

He never would have had the lead if we hadn't spotted him 2 TDs.

Yeah, 14 of those points had nothing to do with him.

For whatever that's worth in a discussion about the schedule.

I'm foreseeing a mid teens 2016 first round draft pick.

That first four game stretch stole my little bit of optimism.Denver and Pittsburgh are both losses IMO.That Cin game could be a loss too.The last four games also look tough.

I'm pointing it out that I called this.I don't care if its petty either.I got negged when I said this wouldn't be a good season for us,I got negs and a bunch of sarcastic remarks back in the beginning of preseason when I said Perriman would miss the first part of the season and it seemed like nobody on these forums believed me when I said our WR's were garbage and this offense would miss Torrey Smith.I deserve my last laughs even if it is coming at the expense of our Ravens.

Ah yes. I remember this season. Amazing the NFL shortened the season to 3 games. Remember when the season was 16 weeks long? Those were the days. Ah well not much time left until the off season anyway.

Repost your preseason prediction from the preseason prediction thread if you really want your due.
