2015 Schedule

Yes, she's the leader. It's not like the schedules are preset years in advance or anything. Oh wait...

The bad thing about playing the west teams is that very few of them are located in the east so we log all that travel time. Funny the ways in which the league conspires against us.  :)

Nah man, it's all part of the league hating us. No-one else gets it that tough, so they clearly want us to lose for their own narratives.

It has nothing to do with us, personally.  The discussions have been that these two divisions are the best in the league.  It's going to be one of the toughest seasons for that reason alone.  Someone else mentioned the RR conspiracy.

Ha, you know you subscribe to the "everyone hates the Ravens" idea.

Ha, you know you subscribe to the "everyone hates the Ravens" idea.

Inqui is partially right....  but that said;  Do I subscribe to the "everyone hates the Ravens"???

No, not all the time....  but answer me a question...  When is the last time you heard ANY of the media talk about the Ravens and their off season moves???  Potential Draft Picks???  or potential to compete this year??? I do watch NFL Network almost every morning while I am getting ready for work, and I can tell you I haven't heard them mention our team AT ALL...  Why are they hyping the Steelers/Patriots season opener, when it's obvious the Patriots 1.) have the easier schedule;  2.) fear us more......

Does EVERYBODY hate the Ravens??  Not Everybody.  Do I believe that there are NFL Favorites???  Absolutely.  Even some of the "non-contending teams" who could only wish to be in the mix every year...  but they seem to be the topic of conversation every day.....  so...  take that any way that you would like....

I just believe that we, as a Division, have a tougher than most others schedule this season...

The Ravens generally get pretty good respect in the media. Outside of clowns like Heath Evans and Skip Bayless who really "hates" the Ravens? Media types always trip over themselves to praise the front office, and this is still happening despite the Rice debacle. If anyone is expecting the Ravens to get the same coverage as more popular teams like the Steelers, Patriots, and Cowboys you're kidding yourself. For a team whose fanbase is generally confined to the Baltimore-DC corridor I think we're doing fine.

Speaking of Rice, some conspiracy theorists suggested we wouldn't get many primetime games because the league wouldn't want to showcase the team after that mess. Well, about that...

i also watch the nfl network , nfl live and nfl insiders everyday. The ravens are never mentioned unless it involves Ray rice. It's been like that for years, they are never talked About until they make the playoffs and it becomes inevitable. And when they are mentioned, the analysts actually grimace and throw shade at them constantly. Doesn't bother me, and I like that they are always bet against and they always end up winning and making them look like fools. They hate it when the ravens are always in the mix and just won't go away. With the exception of boomer on Sunday nfl countdown, he actually always praises and bets on the ravens , the rest of them always overlook baltimore. Could it be they just have a certain disdain for the city or are they just tired of us knocking their favorite team from the playoffs? Who knows, but it's whatever to me. Edited by January J

Boomer and Jaws...  those are the only 2.  I watch many of the segments as well January J.  Even my hubby USED TO say that I was a homer...  and truthfully, he used to be a Bucs fan...  but reality???  Even he's seeing it now.

The reality is true though...  Like you said....  Let them underestimate us, and we'll prove them wrong, yet again.

Small market team that doesn't make splash decisions in any phase of the offseason= equals boring for any average fan

Why is this a serious topic like 5 times a year here?

No one cares what happens in baltimore... No average fan could list more than 3 people on our roster right now since Torrey, ngata, ray rice, boldin, reed and ray are now all gone

We have three players with a nationally known name and that's flacco steve smith and Suggs..

Suggs gets tons of media attention.. Flacco is flacco

I know we play them in SF, but they do not scare me this year. I think they take a step back, honestly. I see the Cardinals or the Rams doing well in that division this year.

Oh look, we get LeVeon Bell's 2015 debut

And the teams on our schedule will finally see a healthy Ravens secondary with a ferocious pass rush.

I highly doubt Pitt or Seattle games will get flexed.. Come on now

And considering how many teams have west coast trips and the fact that west coast teams have to do those trips every year multiple times harbaugh was basically asking for extra privileges

So to just assume we'd get that request is completely off base and makes no sense whatsoever

I agree he was basically asking favors and no, I didn't think we'd get it. But YOU made the claim that they gave him what he wanted. Not only didn't they give him what he wanted, they stacked trips to Denver/Oakland back to back and then again with Arizona/San Fran.

If Pitt collapses, I could see them flexing that game. It is a late game and if it does not have playoff implications, yes, I could see them doing that.

If the Ravens are done I can see them flexing the Seattle game as well.

We're gonna tear San Fran a new one, not worried about them or Denver. Our biggest competition will be Seattle, and possibly Arizona. But the ravens fear no one.

We have been hosed by the Nfl with this schedule  ! .I have been drinking the purple coolaid and wearing purple shaded

glasses but nonetheless the way the two west coast trips were scheduled leads me to believe the NFl wants to see other teams

in the playoffs. They made it as difficult as possible for us .

Go Ravens !! Take this schedule and stick it up Goodell's butt!

An interesting note..players who are suspended and come back aren't necessarily immediately ready to roll. I know Bell's a RB, but he might not be immediately the impact player he can be. I wouldn't put too much into his return from his suspension.

Look at west cost teams schedule then reconsider what our schedule is like. teams on the west are constantly forced to travel east with 1 pm EST kickoffs. Explain how that's fair? It's rare we even make these trips and we're lucky to be getting both wests divisions out the way the same season.

We always hear in here that the Ravens are true "road warriors" and "battle tested".  If that is the case...they'll have plenty of opportunities to prove it with their upcoming schedule.

Just show up...

Just line up...

Just man up...

Go Ravens!

You show me where a west coast team had back to back away games on the east coast , TWICE , and I'll shut up .

Otherwise , you are wrong . Show me the schedule , go back 10 years if you have to

Traveling west to east is much faster too .

Denver isn't all the wa out west. Distance from Baltimore to Denver is about 1700 miles. looking back at the Raiders schedule (which took about 5 min) shows they had to go to Denver (about 1200 miles), then next week go to Buffalo, for a a 1 EST kickoff, which is 10 Their time. Then later that season at Miami, for another 1 EST kickoff and next week at GB.

How is traveling West to East much faster?

But I read recently that our FO requested playing at OAK and at SF back to back weeks.  They wanted to play on the coast twice in a row to save a trip.  At SF and ARZ back to back is basically the same thing trip wise.

No. SF and Oakland are right next to each other. SF and Phoenix are not. They are definitely not the same thing.

The point is that they wanted two consecutive games out west in order to save a trip. At least that was my understanding.

Worst case scenerio I think (on paper only) we'll be 5-3 by the bye week. Hope its 6-2.  Broncos Steelers and Cardinals  or Broncos Steelers.

No, they specifically requested Oak/San Fran back to back so they could remain a week in the bay area without travel. Not the same thing in any universe of the idea.

Yes and other teams requested the same exact thing and were denied

This whole thread is a joke now

Ah....but...he is not injured.

If memory serves, he also isn't allowed to train with the team during that time. That means players can struggle a bit during their first week back as they get used to game speed and generally blow out the cobwebs (hence why Dallas Clark was so rubbish during his first few weeks with us but started to improve as the season wore on).

You kinda have to laugh at the fact that we're getting his first game back, but it won't be as big as when he's had two or three games under his belt.
