2015 Schedule

I was thinking 4-4 and we'd be ok. 5-3 I'd be very happy.

That's what I meant by we're set ... 6-2 and I'd be estatic

4-4 would be ehh.. Hope for 10-6 and a wild card prolly

Five of seven on the road to start the season sounds terrible but looking at the schedule, healthy Ravens shouldn't have much trouble making 5-3 before the bye. If that happens, we might finally have more than one playoff game at the Bank.

Early game-by-game predictions from me:

at Denver Broncos - L - I don't think we'll be blown out like the 2013 opener, but I think we will have more initial struggles than the Broncos.

at Oakland Raiders - W - I'm doubtful Oakland will be a threat next year; I think we get a sound victory here.

vs. Cincinnati Bengals - W - Crucial home-opener against a division rival. This one won't be easy, but I think we get the job done and win a close one.

at Pittsburgh Steelers - L - With Le'Veon Bell returning and coming off the playoff loss we gave them, I think Pittsburgh will be too hungry and motivated to lose this one at Heinz Field.

vs. Cleveland Browns - W - Still expecting the Browns to be at the bottom of the division; bounce-back victory from Pittsburgh.

at San Francisco 49ers - W - The reunion with Torrey Smith will be interesting. I think we squeak out a narrow road victory in this contest.

at Arizona Cardinals - L - I believe the Cardinals are going to have another very good year; looking for a close game with the home team coming out on top.

vs. San Diego Chargers - W - I know I speak for everyone when I say we haven't forgotten the heart-breaker from last time we faced the Chargers. I believe we finish the job this time.

BYE

vs. Jacksonville Jaguars - W - By no means do I think this is a gimme game; we all saw just how close it was last time we faced them at M&T Bank Stadium. Still, I think we come out with the win in this one.

vs. St. Louis Rams - L - I'm predicting the Rams are going to have a very good year. I think we lose our first home game to them in a close one.

at Cleveland Browns - W - We've only lost to the Browns once in the Harbaugh-Flacco era. I think it stays that way and we sweep the Browns yet again.

at Miami Dolphins - L - The Dolphins have been mediocre for a while now, but it's not impossible to imagine them breaking out a little more. They'll also want to get us back for the last couple years.

vs. Seattle Seahawks - W - Personally I expect the Seahawks will be a weaker team than the last couple years. It helps a lot that this game is at M&T Bank Stadium, though.

vs. Kansas City Chiefs - L - I hope I'm wrong, but I see us dropping one of the three home games we have in this stretch. I think the Chiefs unfortunately surprise us.

vs. Pittsburgh Steelers - W - This will likely be an extremely crucial game - and a close one, too. I'm looking for a hard-fought, Ravens-Steelers classic, with us getting the nod in this contest.

at Cincinnati Bengals - L - The Bengals should still be contenders this year, and I think it's a tall order for us to sweep them. They get us back in this one.

FINAL RECORD: 9-7

Of course these are just extremely early predictions. It does seem like a very tough schedule to me; making the playoffs this time around will not be easy at all.

manning has new receivers.i would rather have manning early before he gets in rythum with this receivers.

manning will spend a off season if he has to but he will definitely be prepared and in sync with his receivers

First thing I noticed is that the league didn't grant our request to have SF and OAK back to back. Second thing I noticed was that the league front loaded our away games. I'm not nearconcerned about the end of the season as I am the beginning. Back to back west coast games with east coast peppered in here and there sucks.

My guess is they will stay out there and workout at a university (wks 1&2) and (wks 6&7)  so they don't have back to back west cost trips.  They will most likely do this for the Broncos, Raider and 9er, Cardinals

I could see this... possibly, and especially if Rivers isn't in San Diego anymore.

SD is a home game.. Not entirely worried about that one

I see guessing obviously.. one loss in weeks 5-7 somewhere and two losses somewhere in weeks 1,3-4,8

Start out 4-0 after bye then just go 2-2 in last four and boom that's 11-5

Definitely doable but who knows

Yeah that's how I see it going down. I will say it's not a horrible draw just tough. I do like where our bye is, literally being in the middle of the season at week 9.

I was with you right up to the "wild card prolly." I'm tired of 2nd; I want the div title and the bye.

All three divisional rivals in a row... together again.

The bye comes at a good time. I'm not absolutely crazy about the Jags being the team after the break, but Baltimore does have an usually difficult time against them so it's not a waste.

I'm very disappointed that both Rivers and Manning are on the schedule so early in the year rather than when it's cold.

Pretty tough road schedule. Happy we come back home and play Cincy for our opener. The bank should be rocking.

Extra week to prepare for Jags. Meh.

Yes I like it when it's in the middle as well.  I'm just excited that we play in San Francisco when I'm there.  Totally awesome.

That was only under the idea we start 4-4

Think we'll be better than that this year though

If the Chargers are serious about Mariota, and considering we played the Titans last year, we shouldn't have to worry about Rivers for another couple years if he does end up in Tennessee. Though by week 8, there would be enough film on Mariota to game plan for him.

I'm not worried about Manning as much. He really should have retired, that loss against Indy, he looked done. I know an entire offseason can change things but even an whole offseason isn't enough to get away from father time. Plus from what we gathered from playing the AFC South last year with Kubiak was his offense is too predictable. They knew what was coming, and come week one we'll know what is coming as well.

A possible Omen? From Jamison Hensley's ESPN article on the analysis of our schedule.

The Ravens are only home twice (Week 3 against the Bengals and Week 5 against the Browns) through the month of October. It's the first time this has happened to Baltimore since 2000, when the Ravens overcame that brutal start and won the franchise's first Super Bowl.

Wonderful! It can match with the omen of that Raven that videobombed the reveal that SB 50 was gonna be in Santa Clara

Based on how the team is now do who would be the win the bronco game?

I'm going to say no because of three unknowns - we need a field-stretching wide-out for Joe to be at his best, we need either a healthy Dennis or a capable replacement, and we need a healthy Jimmy.  If we're set at those by that game, I think we have a good shot to win.  Remember also that several of their major players - BOTH TEs, Rahim Moore, and starting guard Orlando Franklin all left in FA.  We have no clue how both teams will look come game-time.

Jimmy Smith on Torrey Smith. Now that should be a fun matchup.

For ravens fans haha

Since our defense probably won't be an issue(Will Hill, Kendrick, Webb on the field T once will be amazing) this will come down to our offense, I trust Joe and the O-line but just about everyone else will be a big problem, we're missing a good possession receiver and a speedster, and our running back and tight end depth is suspect at best.

While our defense should be able to restrain Manning and stop the run, our offense will be an issue.

On the upside, there won't be any film on our TEs with only one NFL start under their belts lol

I already called some of this: knew we'd face Peyton before it got cold and before his old arm gave out, knew we'd not see Pitt until the return of Bell, knew they'd screw us with the West trips, knew we'd not see a Home MNF game yet another season (9 of the last 10 on the road, random my butt NFL). All these have come to pass. Pees better start learning how to let CBs get closer than 10 yds to a WR now so it's not a shock Week 1.

That is a big "if."

In the playoffs, Manning has never exactly been Joe Flacco, if you know what I mean. I could see him being a shell of his former self week 1, but I'm just not counting on it.

Kubiak is historically good at putting together an OL but the Denver OL has had much turnover. He has his work cut out for him.
