My concern is we've only seen a small sample size of Jimmy's potential.  If he continues to play like he has the past 1.5 seaons, then yes I agree he could easily be one of the top 5 CBs in the league.

Not really, I mean the secondary totally went down when Jimmy did. When you have players you know you need to keep, you keep them, we're in a worse shape without Jimmy than with him.

I am sure the contract has incentives that only make it 10 million per year if Jimmy stays productive and healthy, Ravens FO always makes great contract agreements and never ever overpays, they are more likely to let a player walk then pay him more then he deserves... If we draft a premier corner early, which is very likely we may end up having one of the best corner back trios in Jimmy. Webb and peters/ jhonson that is scary good and we wood be set for the next 4 to 5 years ... SUPER EXCITED with the signing

I love Jimmy and he needs to be a Raven forever but 10mil is steep. Jimmy hasnt been to a probowl ( although he's been on that level) and he has injury questions.

jimmy is a good corner..but like with webb..has he really done enough to earn that? i usually would like to see two great consecutive seasons before a deal like this..and he's coming off an injury

Have you noticed the going rate for top NFL CB's this offseason? He's getting paid right IMO.

Yeah he has an injury history but it's a risk you take in this day and age with a talent like his.

I doubt the league thinks we overpaid. Last time I checked Ravens don't overpay. In Ozzie We Trust. That is the market price for a CB just like the money we gave Joe was market price.
