Pro Football Reference Snubs 3 Ravens with Their All-Decade Selections

11 posts in this topic

ProFootballReference has their own All Decade teams that they select, and for their 2000's team they've clearly snubbed 3 Ravens: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/awards/pfr_all_decade_2000.htm.

Bad enough that they chose Tiki Barber over Jamal Lewis for 2nd team RB.

Even worse that they "honored" Ed Reed by making him 2nd Team behind Dawkins Sharper (!)

But...you're not going to believe this one...

They left Jonathan Ogden off their team entirely. Not even on their 2nd team!

Their choices were Walter Jones and Orlando Pace for 1st team tackle, then Willie Anderson and Matt Light for 2nd team.

They did choose Chris McAlister for 2nd team CB, but that hardly makes up for the other 3.

Absolutely. When I see polls, lists or rankings like that...I just smile.

I stopped caring too, but I was floored by Reed and Ogden being snubbed. Besides, it's the off season and the draft is still 2 weeks away. There's not much else to talk about at the moment.

peek-a-boo

A 4-time pro bowler gets the nod over an 11-time pro bowler and 9-time all-pro + HOF'er?

Uhhhh, ya, sure.

Jamal Lewis is understandable. Him and Barber were very close. That being said, I can understand Dawkins over Reed, but Sharper should not be above Reed. Leaving Ogden off the list is down right criminal. You did fail to mention that Chris McAlister did make the list as a second teamer. That was a good add.

Yeah leaving J.O. off is just wrong. You could argue it being him retiring in 2007 but the same could be said for Sapp and he made the first team.

Let's get blood boiling some more:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000485792/article/roster-reset-recap-patriots-colts-atop-afc

We are in tier 3 in AFC conference (roster strength) in this company:

Ravens, Chiefs, Jets, Dolphins, Jaguars, Titans, Browns, Raiders

Among others, Bills, Chargers, Texans are ranked tier 2 in the same article.

Who the heck is Conor Orr???
