Another option for KR/PR is Jeremy Ross, who handled those duties for the Lions for the past 2 years.  He also was decently productive as a 4th WR for the Lions last year.  It's unlikely that we'll sign a 7th WR to the roster, but he'd probably be an upgrade over what we have currently.

Dockett being cut is surprising after guaranteeing him $2mill. That's alarming but he has talent and could add interior pass rush.

I like Will Blackmon. Corner depth and I believe he has return experience but could be wrong on that.

Mostert is intriguing as a fill in until LT returns and gives us another candidate for the returner job.

Louis Nix is interesting too. Was over drafted and seems really raw but has potential. Unfortunately we don't really have room for a project right now.

Jameel McClain was cut... Always liked him as a Raven, but were set at ILB. Hope he can land somewhere.

I'd only look to add someone at CB, WR or RB with return ability or dline man that can bring an interior rush. Outside of that we're pretty set.

That's a shame... Wasted draft pick. He definitely looked a bit in over his head at times but

Would have liked to see what Castillo could have done with him given enough time.

There is no guarantee he sticks around. Indy might only be kicking the tires on him and release him. I can't remember who but I know we've had guys claimed but by the end of the year they were back on our practice squad.

Not sure if Dockett really can provide any thing to the team at the moment . Will Blackmon does have kick returner experience but so did Vaughn and I think Vaughn is the better cornerback but he got cut  by The Ravens . Mostert passed wavier wire and was added to The Eagles practice squad so I guess The Ravens didn't have much interest in him.

 

Louis Nix was signed by The Giants but he would have been interesting developmental player for The Ravens especially on the practice squad.

Given that we just went and got a CB off the market (James), I wonder what moves are left to make? Stop gap RB for the time that LT is hurt (or just pull Magee off our PS)? Jonas Gray cleared waivers and now Montee Ball is on the market, so those are possibilities ... Still any desire to bring on a KR/PR?

Yeah, I would think we would want a CB, but who knows. Walker is raw and needs development, Webb is always hurt it would seem, Arrington looks like a good nickel although I don't know about him outside, then we have Melvin who was also pretty good in practice and has some games under his belt. It's certainly possible we really "like our guys" at that position, lol.

Agree 100% we need another CB and that will be our next signing, most likely this week. Dont think Carter is the answer. Now that we got a pic from 49ers, I see a trade for a DB very soon. I wouldnt be surprised if its a big name CB. Remember we were interested in Darelle Revis when he hit the free market this year. That means something, if we were interested in Revis then we have not filled our needs yet.

 

If Jimmy goes down again we are right back to where we left off.
