Don't know but it was too high for Dallas

And if it's too high for a team as RB needy as Dallas it's definitely too high for us.

I don't know how good he is, but Stanley Jean-Baptiste was just cut by the Saints. He's a cornerback, a 2014 2nd Rd. draft pick, figure he might have some talent.

He did not get many opportunities last season, just a handful of snaps. Went too high in draft, I think.

Haha, this is funny even though it's from PFT:

"Maybe the reason the Saints aren’t announcing cuts is because they’re embarrassed.

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Saints have waived 2014 second-round pick Stanley Jean-Baptiste.

That’s a big surprise, and kind of humiliating to give up on such a recent pick (the 58th overall last year).

The cornerback from Nebraska played just 19 snaps last year, but they drafted him knowing he’d need to be developed. They apparently got tired of waiting.

Kind of like the people waiting for them to announce their moves, nearly four hours after they were submitted to the league office."

The thing about tony carter is that we were supposedly discussing trading for him at last seasons trade deadline...

That's better. Added a word in there for you!

Never believe all you hear. We have no idea how true it is, but maybe we'll see if we claim him off waivers.

I'm a fan of his. I'd like him here at least on the PS.

Reunite him with the homie Carl Davis

Guys who interest me are: DL Louis Trinca-Pasat, WR Duron Carter, CB Charles James.

I wouldn't mind giving Carter a look I didn't think he had much of a chance in Indy considering he had at least 5 established Wr/TE's ahead of him, and from what I remember Ravens were one of the teams he wanted to go to, I'd give him a shot but not at the expense of Waller or marlon.

As said in notes today, #Ravens called on Tony Carter.Teams unable to swing deal Carter doesn't play much, but teams value CB depth #Broncos

this guy has 30k followers... seems legit

Seems like it, but I still don't believe everything I read. I just can't after some of these things. It'll be interesting to see if we call on him now that he's available, assuming he clears or falls to us in waivers.

yeah but Id rather see us get a corner or a running back who can also return. I do not believe he is a good returner

I have to think that Asa's departure is more about his CB play than it was his uneven ST performance. Only carrying 5 CBs after last years debacle in the secondary seems a little bit like a roll of the dice. I have to think the FO believed that there would be better CB options hitting the market and are going to go get one.

Don't know if Carter is it, but I have to think that CB is the #1 position we're looking at for depth. I know RB is a need with LT hurt, but I think we're only interested in a stop-gap guy for the time LT is on the shelf. We shouldn't be looking to make any kind of an investment there.

Yeah, I would think we would want a CB, but who knows. Walker is raw and needs development, Webb is always hurt it would seem, Arrington looks like a good nickel although I don't know about him outside, then we have Melvin who was also pretty good in practice and has some games under his belt. It's certainly possible we really "like our guys" at that position, lol.

This is what worries me the most really. I do like these guys, but there are too many question marks for my comfort. It would be such a shame for the CB depth to sink us this year after Ozzie said he'd never let that happen again ..

Kurtis Drummond, Cyril Richardson, Louis Nix, and Storm Johnson. They are all young guys I loved,  Drummond in particular,  that I would gut a guy on our roster for such as Trawick, Jensen, not site on the d line or rb.

Agree 100% we need another CB and that will be our next signing, most likely this week. Dont think Carter is the answer. Now that we got a pic from 49ers, I see a trade for a DB very soon. I wouldnt be surprised if its a big name CB. Remember we were interested in Darelle Revis when he hit the free market this year. That means something, if we were interested in Revis then we have not filled our needs yet.

If Jimmy goes down again we are right back to where we left off.

Abredaris was a guy a lot of folks around here were high on last year.

He may be injured. I know he was coming off an acl.

Missed a considerable amount of this preseason with a concussion.  Not sure he's really the type of guy we'd be looking for either.  He's more of a possession type which we already have plenty of.
