Louis Nix was cut by Houston. Wasn't he supposed to be this great DT talent last year? Is he that bad or is the Houston depth that good?? Maybe we should give him a tryout.

Here is his draft profile from NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/louis-nix?id=2543472

Ironically, although he was selected in the 3rd round by Houston, he had a better ranking than our 2nd round pick Timmy Jernigan! That just goes to show you how good our front office is and how bad these website draftniks are!!

I liked Dezmin Lewis in the draft,  I feel our luck with receivers has changed in no small part due to bobby Engram who was a great technician imo. Seeing what he has done with Waller to this point is encouraging.  I would not mind kicking the tires on him.

im curious what the general consensus is as far as giving denarius moore the once over? obviously a deep threat that looks like he has some pr experience in the league

La Canfora is speculating that Terrance West could be had in a trade for cheap.  Being from Towson, I'm obviously interested.  More so, he'd fit the mold of the big back that we'd be missing without Taliaferro.  I'd inquire.

Don't think he made enough of an impact for the Browns.

I'm not sure he'll be cut, but Dezmen Southward of the Falcons would be a decent 6th corner, particularly if he can return kicks.  Some of the Falcons roster predictions have him on the outside, so my guess is he could be had for a player at a position of depth (ILB or DL).

Wasn't great but wasn't awful last year.  I wouldn't give up much for him obviously, but I'd kick the tires and see what it would take.

Not to mention the Browns wouldn't trade us a washing machine, they're still salty about the team moving...

Southward got absolutely abused last night, particularly at the end of the game, he's at most on par with Asa or Vaughn

I'd support trading for Barner, he's apperntly already on the trade block and if he gets cut I doubt he makes it through waivers. A conditional 7th round pick for a good return man sounds fair to me.

I think Vaughan is a good bottom of the depth chart CB.  Certainly feel better about him at corner than Anthony Levine.

Word is that they might keep Raheem Mostert over Barner. I'd be looking at either if they got cut. Mostert has been great this preseason, but not sure if that means anything since I haven't followed the Eagles in camp at all.

They're keeping Barner.

Moore just not better than the receivers The Ravens already have. He has kick/punt return experience but his stats in that area isn't all that great especially at kick return which what The Ravens need the most.

Why would the present regime be salty? It's not like they lost out on buying the Cleveland Browns Remember the present owner was a part owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers for a long time. Now saltiness (more bitterness because of how well we are doing) with the Cleveland fans and local media is understandable, but the Browns ownership? I don't get that.

Don't trust Asa at punt returner, don't want Camp to get injuried. A trade seems to be the only option we've got.

Trindon Holliday was realeased by the Raiders. I know he gave us fits when we played Denver. Could he be a viable return guy for us despite his really tiny size? But, he may be too one dimensional to make the team perhaps.

12 career fumbles, 11 of which are on punt returns.

I think that was just an assumption becuase of this:

Aaron Wilson ‏@AaronWilson_NFL 21m21 minutes ago

Eagles cutting running back Raheem Mostert, according to his agent, Brett Tessler

I don't see them keeping another RB behind Sproles, Murray and Matthews

Neither do I, especially when Sproles is a top notch punt returner himself and Huff and Agholor can return kicks

if they don't release him he definitely could be on the trading block. They might be forced to release him though if they don't have enough room on their roster. I'm not real familiar with their team so idk.
