I can't see resigning Torry although I like him. He is a #2-3 WR and we need at least a top end #2 who borderlines a #1. Blackmon could be a bargain. Browns could be ready to trade Gordon for a low#1 or #2. Beckham Green could be there at #26. Lyerla is another talented gamble.

I also can't see signing Mcphee for the $6-7million year he will get. Better to go another $5mil n get Houston a dynamic game changer.

This is the NFL, not a rehab clinic. Half of those guys have serious drug addiction issues.

He is my 2nd favorite WR in the league (behind AJ Green and above Dez) and I feel like we need to finally get an elite Wideout for Joe. If we don't plan on drafting a WR high in the draft then I think we should see if we have a shot at signing him. At this point I feel like were wasting Joe's prime by not providing him with enough weapons (still to this day...). I mean look what Joe did with average weapons against Revis, Browner, and McCourtey...obviously signing him is a bit of a stretch with our cap but here's hoping he has some interest and we have a chance...

Did you notice the Browns weren't as good when Gordon got back in the lineup.  Yes part of that is they had tape on Hoyer, but a big part of it was Gordon not studying and taking plays off.  He could be a great player, but he's a high risk.  Teams like the Redskins do that, not the Ravens.  Blackmon, if he is cheap, then maybe and only if he is going to be ready to play next year.  Again, he's another risk, but not as big a risk because he would be cheap.

I dont rate him highly. Great physical ability but Ive always felt that he lacks the aggression. Id like a younger version of Steve Smith, whoever that might be? Im not sure. Just want someone who is fearless over the middle.

Has Houston been playing in a 3-4 defense.  If that is the case, I'd be ok with Houston if we couldn't sign McPhee for around the same money.    If we lose McPhee we would most likely be getting a 3rd round comp in 2016 depending on what we do in FA.

Obviously an amazing WR and if Peyton retires there is a good chance Thomas walks, but this would be a completely un-Ravens move.

Not happening, nor is Randall Cobb, Dez Bryant, Ndamokung Suh, Jordan Cameron, Demarco Murray, Justin Houson or Darrelle Revis.

I'd bet my house that's the case with any one of them.

Houston isn't even a possibility for us.  The guy posted 22 sacks this year.  He's cashing in way more than McPhee.

Yeah, and it's not like KC is even letting him even touch the open market. They'll let go of Bowe and Hali before Houston.

While we're living in fantasy land, we might as well send over a 4th round pick for Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor.

Yes they do but its only marijuana or whatever. Not a tough habit to kick when a $100million contract is bribing them. How many former players said they needed Demerol shots to get out of bed on Mondays. We are not the redskins, we have structure and leadership from coaches and vets alike and a winning atmosphere to help focus young players. Rolando McLain should e a lesson to us. We get the guy straightened out to play for the cowboys. We can have a couple characters on the team cuz we havehave strong coaching and dudes with character to mentor them and focus them on the will to win. Michael Irvin had his probs but WOW did he carry a winning Confident swagger that was contagious. Many other fans hated that we kept Ray Lewis but is there a better player/leader or cared more bout winning and had more of a contagious swagger and confidence. I'm not saying these guys are Irvin but we should at least check.

Close thread.

Hey, we can dream can't we?  He is absolutely ny favorite receiver and have hope him to be a Raven since college.  Alas, he will cost a fortune and him on roster roster would leave too many hole open.  On the other hand, whoever thought we'd ever have Suggs and a Dume on the same team?  Stranger things have happened.

an awesome receiver; unfortunately, he is our fantasy in this stable successful organization.  Teams like Raiders, Jets, Redskins, or Bills will make this a reality...

No, stranger things haven't happened.

doubt Denver lets him walk and doubt we can outbid any team nor that we can make an offer he would consider.

It's not going to happen, too expensive and I'd rather have F.O draft a WR in the first then get D.T, don't get me wrong, guy is a stud but it will be for too much.

Wonder how much cap space we save by cutting Webb and Ngata? If it's enough to bring in DT, then hellz to the yeah

Well for Blackmon, it's booze and pot reportedly. Multiple DUIs. Still suspended indefinitely from what I can tell.

Josh Gordon, reportedly weed multiple times.

Green-Beckham, just reading about him, is weed and DV issues.

Colt Lyerla is cocaine if I recall and he sounds like a junkie.

Apparently it is VERY hard for these people to stop using because multi-million dollar deals were hanging right in their faces because of their physical talent. We can have Oprah, Dr. Phil, etc on staff and it will not matter at all if the person doesn't want to change. The heavy incentive for them staying clean implies these people do not want to or cannot change.

Rolando McClain had work ethic / personality issues he had to work out. For whatever reason, he was adverse to conditioning tests so we traded him to one of the only teams that doesn't run one. Got our 6th round pick out of that mess. Ray Lewis was not a perpetual problem, one issue that was resolved.

For every Michael Irvin and Cris Carter there are a lot more Todd Marinovichs', Lawrence Phillips', Tom Zbikowskis', Len Bias' (different sport but a local reference), etc, etc. Plus a ton of nameless / unfamous people who never make it.

I agree, only used him as an example because someone else brought his name up.  This also isn't the Ravens style and it should stay that way.
