Don't want to be desperate for a TE. Even if we talk about how WR is a "CrapShoot" I'd still rather reach for a WR than a TE, especially in this draft class.

I hope we at least get a WR in round 1-3.

Probably gonna be a few genuine statements mixed in with a lot of smoke. But anything ravens is worth a listen to me regardless. Always love to hear what Ozzie , biscotti and harbaugh have to say.

Agree, there is definitely a little bit of smoke and mirrors during these press conferences.

I personally would rather have a great CB, than an Elite WR, but looking into this conference, I do think a trade up is imminent for one of those positions.

I think one of Marcus Peters and Kevin Johnson will be available at 26.  I'd be much more comfortable with Johnson than Peters, but if Ozzie decides that Peters is ok, then I'll be fine with him as well.  I just don't want to see Kevin Johnson on the Steelers.  Not only is he a local "Ravens" fan, but his parents are season tickets.

Even if it were a downright honest press conference, as long as the rest of the league believed like you that it was smoke and mirrors I am thrilled!

Eh, not a fair comparison.

I think we would have drafted Gronk IF the Patriots didnt draft him right before we picked, same thing with Hernandez (thank God!) Gronk was a potential red flag coming out of school, I think he had back surgery if memory serves me right.

When you say Bryant, Im assuming you're meaning Dez. I also think we would have drafted him, IF the Cowboys didnt trade up infront of us.

I think for it to be a fair comparison, you should have used players that were drafted after we had picked in that respective round.

Maybe Dez was unfair, but the Ravens still had a chance to get Gronk. Did they have to trade back? I mean, they had two chances at Keenan Allen. I honestly thought they were trading up for him.

They had a crack at several receivers last year that went after their second round pick, many of whom looked very promising.

The last few years the first rounders we've drafted have all been guys we had pre-draft visits with.  Beyond that most of them were nothing.

Don't think Matt Elam visited.

We met him at the combine, though.  We also meet players at the EW shrine game and Senior Bowl - I think there's a limit on how many each team can visit with at each event, so only guys we didn't get a chance to meet set up private interviews, or else it's a guy we met and are interested in meeting again.  If I'm correct with my research every player the Ravens have drafted with their first pick since 2008 (including the early second tradebacks) has privately met with someone from the Ravens at some point between the offseason and the draft, whether it be an event interview or a invite to The Castle or a school's pro day.

Yeah, I's have a bad feeling about Johnson heading to Pitt. I personally do prefer Peters.

i wouldn't be surprised to see Peters gone  before pittsburgh is on the clock. it would be a coup of sorts if he slides past about 20 given his talent.

Yes Mosley is a player I can think of that visited The Ravens before the draft.
