I thought that the Orioles being back in the AL East and overall League basements would upset me, but I just don't care enough. Pretty pathetic, but at least we'll get to see some young guys get a shot.

I feel the same way. Just haven't felt the need to care since July.

Fav Orioles game all season. Turned it on just in time to see the comeback in the 8th & Buck go off

Also feel wrong for leaving out Crush destroying his bat, and scoring twice on Joba Chamberlain again. My personal fav pitcher

Their goal is to attain a .500 record  The 10 run eighth was nice but they are not playoff contenders this year. Shame....

Boy has this thread died down lol. I don't think it's possible especially since we just lost 7-0 to the Red Sox, but somehow we have a chance to make it as a Wild Card. The problem, we have 9 games to make up 3.5 games on the Astros, and jump the Indians, Twins and Angels who are also in front of us. Come October 4th, if we are in any position where beating the Yankees puts in as a Wild Card, it sure would be something wouldn't it lol.

For those who quit watching, you've missed a real fun week. Manny has been on a holy tear and we have a good chance of messing up the Yankees aspirations for home field advantage.

The season has been disappointing, but I still like our guys.

OK - win this one. If we do - it won't be a winning season, but it won't be a losing season either.

Sure it would be nice to be rooting for something more meaningful, but this will have to do.

I hope we sweep the Yankees to end at least .500 and third in the division. It would also be nice to see it cost them home field for the WC game.

I pray that was not Chris Davis' last HR as an Oriole!!!!!

Like AJ said, we've seen what happens when you let 40+ HRs walk off your team.

Not that Angelos will listen ...

I'm telling you too ... watching what Arrietta is doing now ... it really hurts. A part of you wants to say, that we gave up on him too soon, but in reality, do we think he'd be doing what he's doing now if he were still an Oriole?

I have to question our ability to develop pitching. I feel like we've had a number of guys that we've drafted high and have promise, but just aren't playing to their potential. A team like ours that can't go out and buy seasoned pitching, needs to draft and develop. I just don't see that happening.

At least we have a good group of young players to build with. Sure hope we can keep Chen and Davis. Wieters can go. He's been pretty solid when he isn't hurt, but he'll get too much money for a part-time player.

Back when Arrieta threw his no hitter, there was a report from someone that said when Arrieta arrived in Chicago, they told him to forget everything that the O's had taught him.  Whatever Chicago did, worked.  Whatever we did, didn't.  It doesn't speak well to our development process.

It's sad, but I really don't think the organization has any clue how to develop young arms.  Arm injuries happen to a lot of young pitchers nowadays, but the way we handled Bundy was just stupid.  The organization told him to stop throwing fastballs and to only focus on breaking balls and off speed pitches.  Of course you're going to blow out your arm when making that radical of a change.

We need better pitch coaching for sure
