Baltimore Orioles 2015

Duquette blew the whole offseason, so blame him.  He's struck gold on some of these minor league retread contracts that can come in and fill a role for a short period.  Duquette thought he could count on those types to be full time players, and it completely backfired in his face.

Now, we made a trade for a rental outfielder that has no impact on our playoff chances.  I hate seeing guys go, but selling was the right move this year and we chose not to.  We'll get some comp picks out of it, but I really can't trust this organization to develop any of those guys.

"Grow the arms, buy the bats."  Seems that statement ended up being completely false.

Yeah I don't know if anyone is beating KC in the AL as much as I hate to say it

Deep lineup, best bullpen in baseball, solid starting pitching with Cueto now in.

The Blue Jays downfall will be their bullpen if they aren't consistently putting up massive amounts of runs.

Yeah everyone is a good team come the playoffs, pitching is better, bullpens are better, bats are better. Also as the temperatures cool down and the Jays go to a big ballpark like what Kansas City has, I don't see them being as effective there, not to mention Kansas City's insane defense.

I havne't seen as much KC this year, but I was wondering if they still had that crazy speed on defense

From what I have heard, that defense is still going strong

Speed kills and it's what got the Orioles

Arrieta just threw a no hitter against the Dodgers.  Props to him.  It's a shame we ruined him, but glad to see him doing well elsewhere.

Makes it fun to see Miguel not make it past five innings for how many starts?

I was just about to come in here and post about that. He does absolutely abysmal in Baltimore, but then goes to Chicago and in his first full season, he's got a sub 3.00 ERA and he's throwing a no-no. Maybe the Orioles need to re-evaluate their pitching coaches.

Saw a quote on Twitter earlier that the Cubs told him to forget everything the Orioles taught him. Looks like he did and it worked out quite well for him and the Cubs.

Sad, isn't it? We're pretty good at ruining young pitchers. It's no secret that Bundy blew out his elbow not long after we told him to stop throwing fastballs and focus solely on breaking balls.

Our pitching development/coaching is ridiculously bad.

Well the Jays hired someone for team President so I assume they're no longer in it for Dan...

They successfully distracted him long enough to ruin us.

Some more bright spots depending on how you see it:

@masnRoch: 100 career doubles for Machado. Youngest #orioles player to get there. Also 2nd-fewest games by an Oriole. Markakis is 1st

@masnRoch: Now Machado steals 3rd base. His 17th steal this season. Previous career high was 6 #orioles
