The 4 game sweep of the A's was good. We needed that. Hope to get the 2nd game of the Mets series tonight. We are 1 game behind the 2nd wild card spot.

Hardy just ticks me off now

It's been brutal to watch him at the plate.  I'm not confident that he's 100%, but it's still not a pretty sight when he's at bat right now.

Good to see Hank come through with one last night.

This team is proving to be resilient if nothing else.

They've fallen to the brink of being out of the race a few times then they get right back into it.

I'm maintaining that even if they moss the wildcard, they competed despite having a bunch of 4A players taking up 1/3 of the lineup for most of the season.

Hopefully we can re sign Parra and Davis. I'm OK with letting Weiters walk IF we can keep those two and Chen.

I think someone needs to do a careful inspection of the visitor's clubhouse. The Twins must have been performing live sacrifices in there. I have never seen so much flukey luck in one series. It's like there was a curse on us.

And Reimold DFA.

On another note.

@Orioles: On this date in 1983, LHP Tippy Martinez picked off 3 runners in

the 10th inning of a 7-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays at Memorial Stadium

I was there. Had box seats right behind 1st base. We took my mother to her first Orioles game for her birthday. After the first two, when the batter came up the whole stadium was chanting "Put him on, pick him off".

Perhaps they already have.

We'll see. They get to the brink then rattle off 5 in a row and climb back into the race time and time again.

As much as I hate to admit it though, nobody has a snowballs chance in hell at beating Toronto right now.

Not looking good right now, we always have trouble coming back late in the innings and KC has a great bullpen.

Well with the way the Red Sox are playing right now, I would not be surprised if we finished the season in the basement of the American League East. What a shame!

KC is still my favorite to win it
