CHRISTOPHER FREAKING DAVIS

He's our only true bonafide slugger and he's got another 10 yrs in him. If he walks it'll be disappointing. O Day is another one I'd like back and Wieters can hopefully be had on a 1 yr prove it contract.

Yeah, Duquette!  You waste that money!

The Orioles have recalled OF Junior Lake from Triple-A Norfolk and designated OF Travis Snider for assignment.

Why are they not bringing up Alvarez? smh.

I think it may be time for me to face the facts......we are just a .500 ball club this year. Our starters are struggling this year and we were better offensively last year with Cruz in the lineup. They may have mortgaged their future but it looks like Toronto made the moves to make run. They are firing on all cylinders right now.

Just read an article on BR. Here's a blast from the past. Adam Loewen. Apparently, he was playing winter ball, realized that his elbow didn't hurt while putching, and went back to being a pitcher.

He's been in the Phillies system, pitching well in the minors, and just got called up.

For a short time he was going to be the O's ace-in the making. Until he decided to go to Toronto to be an OF.

Good thing I changed the channel at the right time from that eye rolling Steelers love fest during the Bus' HoF speech.

How's that Parra trade looking now?  Used one of our better prospects to get a guy that isn't going to move the needle on a .500 team.

Zero faith we would've developed him right...And even if we did he was expected to be a 4th or 5th option, so I've read.

But yeah, Parra hasn't helped a bit and I'm pretty disappointed so far.

I'd still rather have 6 years of control of a young arm than a little over 2 months of a guy that we could have signed in FA after the season.

Hopefully some roster changes are made and we get to see him up here asap.

I am still upset about that Rodriguez trade.

I never got the idea of trading away your future for rentals, especially if you are running on such a low budget like the Os and don't even re-sign those guys during FA.

I guess looking back after some years. Rodriguez, Davies and some other prospect (look for Bundy or Harvey get traded next year) will be solid to great pitchers for other teams. Miller, Parra and some incoming body next year will have signed big contracts with rivals, while we are stuck with horrific prospects and the likes of Jimenez and MiGo pitching and lurking around .500

Also if Duquette wanted to content this year why couldn't he just re-sign Cruz, Markakis and/or Miller, instead of throwing away yet another prospect for a rental. Oh I forget he worked his magic signing Travis Freaking Snider

I so much hope Bisciotti somehow buys the Os

He was 7th in the majors in BA when we acquired him and happened to fill our biggest need. Sucks we can't string together some wins and our pitchers can't all click at the same time. These 1 run games have hurt us the most, IMO. Losing Cruz too of course. I finally admit I was wrong on Markakis. I sill miss him, especially because of the crap that's replaced him but with our pending FA's we're most likely not gonna sign, it's worth getting our hopes up that we may have extra cash because of it to attempt to, I guess.

Good news is the Ravens play tomorrow.

I don't mind Parra the player.  I mind the fact that Duquette thought Parra was enough to put us over the edge and into the playoffs, when I think most fans could tell that there were so many other holes and that simply wasn't going to happen.  We basically lost a potential long term piece for the same results.

I didn't like losing Rodriguez, but I did understand the move at least.  We had everything clicking last year, and the back of our bullpen was probably the best in baseball with the addition of Miller.  Injuries mounted up and things didn't work out, but there was a big chance there to win it all.

I understood it at first and really thought we had a huge chance last year. But I am sorry if you give up an arm like Rodriguez you at least have to re-sign that guy you traded for, which didn't happen. In fact, we even let 2 other huge FAs walk.

Look for Rodriguez to tear us up for some years now

Not re-signing Miller is the kicker, especially when you look at the money we wasted on awful players this offseason.
