Looks like the Brewers outfielder Geraldo Parra trade is complete pending him passing his physical. Go O's!

We should trade for that outfielder in Atlanta.. Lead off and corner outfield problems solved just like that

Zach Davies probably wasn't going to become more than a back of the arm rotation, but if he goes up into the Brewers system next year and has respectable starts, I'll be pretty miffed, similar to Eduardo Rodriguez. Parra isn't nearly the same level as Andrew Miller and I don't think this even remotely solves all the Orioles issues, so this one wasn't the best trade to me.

It'd be different if we had Parra for more than a couple of months. Davies is probably a back of the rotation guy as you said, but that's still an overpay for a 2 month rental.

If they don't get him re-signed, I'll be pretty mad. The only thing I can be really happy about is that in recent years, he's been about a .300 hitter.

Toronto made the big moves to give it a run. We still need better pitching if we want to stay in the race. Last night was an example. Parra will help, but is it enough? The trade deadline is still a few hours away but I absolutely worry about rentals killing our future.

On another related note, I feel bad for Bud.  Although I like the guy and wish it didn't have to happen, it was the right move.  I loved his tenacity on the mound and it's a shame to lose a good guy.

Well the deadline has passed so hopefully we can get it done with the guys we have now.

Snider likely to be DFA'd, according to reports.

Duquette had a miserable offseason

Wesley Wright - $1.7M

Alejandro De Aza - $5M

Everth Cabrera - $2.4M

Travis Snider - $2.1M + prospects

Brian Matusz - $3.2M (still on the team, but we know he's not worth it)

Totaling up to $14.4M in essentially wasted money, not even including Norris.  That's ridiculous.

I'm ok with these trades. Hunter isn't that great and will be gone this offseason. Might as well get something for him.

do not understand this one

I'd rather we just DFA both of them and bring up Alvarez, but maybe that's just me.  Both Parmalee and Snider are pretty much useless.

Also want to say Mychal Givens looked real good for a new addition to our bullpen.

Well if he's anything like me you have nothing to worry about

Come on Britton, close this out. We need every win we can get because I have a feeling that the wild card race is going to be tight this season.

Toronto have completely destroyed their farm with all these trades and they won't even make th eplayoffs. They should have jus twaited it out and wait for the prospects to mature and use them with guys like donaldson in the future.

I didn't like the trade for Tulowitzki because Toronto had the best run differential in the league, but I did like the trade for Price for them
