We have the Yankees right in front of us.  We will lose 12 more games while they stay steady at .600  This crappy record  :29: really transforms the Yankees back to their cocky attitude once again

If you missed the Buck Showalter special on MLB Network, you need to try to catch the replay. Fantastic!

+> Yankee fans that believe he can make a team win, belleve it is due to his linage and common baseball manager sense.

We need any semblance of a capable corner OFer. What we've been getting from those spots has been putrid.

The TEAM blows these games,in July; not necessaily a starting or set up pitcher

I hope we can make a trade, we need to make a move to add to this team. We need to try and do something. We are struggling right now.

Cob.. Whats your swap? Would a third team be in the deal?

He looked like the ace he was expected to be. Let's hope he can back that up in his next start.

Tillman's Era against teams not from Toronto...3.14. Not great, but not terribly bad either.

Winning that series in Detroit kept the O's from getting deep in the hole.

We have to win this series against the Yankees, it's HUGE.

Another one run loss on the road...A lot of away games in July and August....Just don't think it's in the cards this year.

Yeah I didn't say it then but my goal to start the year was to be over .500, just lost too many good guys last year and the consistency isn't there. Really have to wonder what would have been if Weiters, Machado, and Davis were in the playoffs last year.

The O's are done... barring a huge trade deadline deal, which they haven't done in eons, we're looking at a 3rd or 4th place finish.

That, or the guys currently here pick up their game exponentially.

I'm worried that Duquette is going to trade away the farm.  He keeps saying that we're going for it, but I just don't see it.  We have too many weaknesses to really make a big push, in my opinion.  We have a bevy of free agents this year that we're not going to be able to keep.  I'm almost to the point where I'd rather be a seller than gut the farm in trades, only to lose everyone in FA.

Our farm is more like a garden, sadly.

Yeah, starting to agree. Chen could bring a few nice prospects back. I'd much rather re-sign him but that's probably out the realm of possibility.

Chen is the one guy I'd really want back, but he also has the most value.  I'd hate to see him go, but it might be in the team's best interest for the future.

Besides Chen, we have Davis, Wieters, and O'Day that would be the big free agents.  Otherwise, we have Norris, Hunter, and Pearce, who I wouldn't be worried about at all.

Duquette failed to capitalize on some of these guys at their highest value.  Norris was a huge mistake.  I think pretty much everyone knew he wasn't going to replicate last year's success.

On the other end of that spectrum, you also have to be worried about us actually developing the prospects we'd get back if we turn into sellers.  We need near ML-ready types.  We do not develop lower level talent well at all.  Gausman's "development plan" is all jacked up.

Excellent point. I dont think all the failed home grown arms are coincidences...

Sucks to be an O's fan at the moment. I think Dan's hands were tied last offseason but it's still horrible having his "promotion to Toronto" hanging over the club. The o's also haven't been resigning their own so the long term outlook is concerning. Wonder what Manny's thinking.

Gonna suck watching Chen & Davis in different uniforms. I have a feeling we re-sign Wieters, (at least a 1-year deal.) if O'day leaves I have zero confidence for next season as well, unfortunately.

I try to get happy thinking about what the core of Adam/Manny/Schoop will look like in 2 years, but it's hard to get truly excited when I can easily see Manny in pinstripes one day.

If they let Manny walk, I'm turning in my fan card.

Can you see the O's paying 100 million + to a player? Just won't believe it until I see it.

Just checked the schedule and there's still a lot of ball to be played. The AL east has been up and down all year so anything could happen. This season might be the last shot for awhile though. Hope I'm wrong.

It's hard to really see it, but I don't think we have a choice when it comes to Manny.  You can't let a superstar, face of the franchise type of player go.

There certainly is a lot of time left, but I just don't see it this year.  We have too many issues to make a serious run, in my opinion.  What we're getting out of the corner OFs is quite honestly laughable.
