Game of Thrones

The ending was great although that green screen was hilariously bad

The bad CGI reminded me of one the first two Harry Potter movies.

Stannis whyyyy????

I'm not okay with a majority of what happened tonight...

That was beyond disturbing.

Wonder how Davos will react?

Stannis has been growing on me these past couple of seasons. If he'd been played by Sean Bean and had a more favourable build-up I think he could have been as popular as Ned Stark. And I can see him being a big part of the Baelish-Bolton-Sansa plot in one way or another as well.

Tell me again how you feel about Stannis?

So much bad happened. I texted my buddy after watching it and we had the same thoughts. From the scene with Arya to the one with Stannis, this was a hard episode. I feel like this is probably my least favorite season. This episode 9 is the weakest of the series so far, and the season as a whole has underwhelmed. This season is clearly used to set things into motion for a larger impact later.

On a side note, is the series really only going to last 7 seasons? I hope not.

Yeah except for the unexpected battle with the white walkers this whole season is just way too slow. All build up little pay off. Maybe it was because I had just watched the Hobbit movies earlier in the day but the special effects for the final sequence were I thought extremely poor. I know its TV, but its HBO come on. If I was watching the show for the first time this season I would not be impressed at all. Here's hoping next week is a huge pay off.

Yeah I feel the same way. I shook my head when I saw that CGI. It was horrible. They should've left it out than do it sloppy.

I thought it was fantastic. Hopefully all this crescendos in the finale.

The CGI was pitiful though. Cmon, HBO.

That was the problem with the books as well. The 3rd book(3rd and 4th seasons) was my favorite by a good amount and so much happens in that book, there is a lot of payoff from the first 2 that goes in that book. Things kinda needed to be reset there after the events of the 3rd book and we are now getting buildup for what hopefully will be an exciting final 2 books.

How much deviation from the books has there been. I've only read the first one

There has been quite a bit this past season actually.

Currently reading the first book (never watched the show)... it's insane!! I'll stay out of here for fear of spoilers, but man, the show must be even crazier.

That scene and the buildup were..... disturbing. Really well produced with how they showed the discomfort of everyone involved, but I think that scene had to be one of the most haunting of the show to date.

Kinda figured that would happen, but that still doesn't mean I like it.

I think it's so obvious what's about to happen next with JS at CB. I don't want to say what it is, because it's just my interpretation, but I can't see any way this doesn't happen. They set it up perfectly and it's no coincidence a certain redhead was in the scene right before that event.

On a somewhat related note, where do they keep all of these horses? Ramsay brought like 300 of them. I don't see room for 300 horses...

It was far more than 300, probably closer to 3,000 or more

Yeah, it seems so painfully obvious with how they set it up what will happen next. I'm almost shaking my head because Game of Thrones is never usually this predictable. I will be very surprised if that doesn't happen.

I actually wanted to say 3000... But apparently I accidentally typed 300 and kept that going for the second part haha

Oh there's room. The horses are compact. They fold into smaller horses when they aren't needed. Kinda like a lawn chair, but a horse.
