Finally a great episode this season!

This has been a really slow season. It's been a lot of build-up and anticipation. I'm excited for what Episode 9 may hold, though.

Oh, well that's kind of expected since they don't do much until winter actually comes. Lol.

I thought there were a few trope-y film aspects this time (it seems they've been creeping in lately), but otherwise that was a really good episode. We'll see if episode 9 is the grand event it has been in the past. I'd wager we see the return of a certain character who's been absent for a while now.

Yea! Finally the walkers do something and we have an action filled episode. Good stuff. Hopefully we will see even better yet this year.

That guy didn't actually occur to me, but now that you mention it I did think they hinted at him in the pre-season teasers.

 

I'm tempted to just leave the name I'm thinking about for a few days, haha. In fairness, it was probably a little misleading to say they hadn't made an appearance for a while. What follows is obviously a book reference:

 

Drogon. You remember the scene that leads to Danerys meeting another Dothraki tribe?

Don't read this if you aren't Inqui or have not read all of the books unless you really don't care about spoilers

 

Drogon is the one? We will see him next episode as they have the big fight in the fighting pits next and I have been looking forward to it for a while. That and another twist that I have been dreading although that could be for the finale

Probably the craziest thing about that battle though is that it had practically no setup. We didn't really see a battle coming until the dogs started barking and you saw the cold weather moving in. Then we got a really good battle sequence on top of it, I just wasn't prepared for what that was going to be lol
