The "hall of faces" in the house of black and white was quite interesting.

Do the books explain how he could have possibly survived that?    lol

I don't think he was touched in the show so he should be good although we don't know for sure as Tyrion blacked out

Does anyone else think we are getting cheated? I feel like the show starts a little after 2100 and then ends before 2200. It's kind of frustrating. Lol.

No commercials in the show though means we probably get it for more than most hour long shows with commercials

Yeah, most of those shows go for 45 minutes, so no complaints from me. Gotta love HBO.

It's interesting how they're speeding up Tyrion's plot but slowing down Arya's. They're the two main characters who haven't caught up with the books yet. Aside from the Sand Snakes, who honestly aren't as cool as Oberyn was (and that speech from the Keisha Castle-Hughes character feels even more pointless now).

Maybe I'm a bad person, but after Facebook erupted with vague spoilers an hour or two before I could watch the episode, I was expecting something more graphic/horrifying with Sansa/Theon. It didn't seem that different to the first times described by Cat Stark at the Red Wedding, but with Theon watching and no bedding. Saying that, you definitely get the sense that it was a pretty big moment in the scheme of things at Winterfell.

Speaking of which, I'm wondering what happened to Bran. And Gendry.

Yeah I think they could have done more with the Sand Snakes, I think at the end it will end up at the same place and they are on pace to do so but they could have done more to establish them in general.

I actually agree with you, I mean we all knew Ramsay was a twisted person so it shouldn't be a huge surprise that eventually he was going to do stuff to Sansa. As soon as she went to Winterfell you knew it was coming. I think the show handled it about as well as they could have considering that, I mean they didn't relish in the act itself or anything, they showed Sansa's face and Theon's face and let you paint the picture. It still was a tough scene to watch for obvious reasons but I thought it was done well. I mean Ramsay is a twisted person, he is going to do evil things. I think the outrage over it just tells you how good a job the show has done in establishing these characters and making you feel like you are in their shoes.

Bran is not in this season although my guess is that he is still up with the 3 eyed crow. No clue on Gendry although I would imagine he is somewhere getting by.

One thing that isn't being brought up much is how badly Little Finger manipulated Cersei, he got some stuff done last episode, that was classic Little Finger.

I think they're giving the Sand Snakes the Tyrion treatment - racing through their story arc by keeping it to the highlights so the bigger stuff can happen later. It doesn't seem to work as well with the Snakes though, since we already love Tyrion. It was actually similar with the books for me. Pedro Pascal really made the Martells for me.

Based on the vague semi-spoilers I got, I was actually expecting Ramsay to stick a knife in her leg or some really messed up stuff so I guess that completely desensitised me to what actually happened. The other thing was that it reminded me of the very first episode of the show - with Drogo and Danerys. Obviously Danerys learned to use her... assets (for want of a better word) and learned to turn a bad situation into a powerful on for herself and Sansa's obviously not as far along on the fork in her own road. But you get the feeling that crash course from Petyr Baelish and even Cersei back in King's Landing will come in handy once she gets a bit more settled.

Littlefinger is a slimeball but I love watching him in the show - for all the love Peter Dinklage gets, Aiden Gillen's actually one of my favourite actors in the show and that scene with Varys about "The Climb" was just a fantastic monologue. He's actually one of the characters I'd be disappointed to see getting popped off too early. His scene with Cersei was great and it's crazy to think of how far he's come already.

Yeah agreed, it is one thing since Tyrion is already developed but we haven't been to Dorne before. It is fine, I just think they could have done more with it.

I wouldn't compare it to Drogo and Danerys, Ramsay was doing what he did purely to make Theon and Sansa miserable. Drogo just was pleasuring himself, he didn't really care about what Danerys thought. I also don't see it getting better for Sansa unless she escapes or Ramsay dies.

That was a great one for sure. I just loved how he did it though, great scene

What if they some how defeat stannis? I know some of you already know the story from reading the books. But that would be a big twist to me.

I agree with what you're saying about Ramsey and Drogo (and I'll get a tattoo of the seven on my forehead if Sansa and Ramsey start "sun and stars"ing each other), but the scene itself just felt like you could have thrown a crying Danerys in there instead of Sansa and not noticed the difference. It probably also comes back to how I was expecting something far more brutal and/or messed up.

Based on the books, I can also agree that her situation isn't quite the same as Danerys in terms of power and all (I certainly wouldn't rule out a similar treatment to "Arya"), but she does have a few cards that she can play right - and like I say she's had a couple of lessons since heading south so you've gotta be optimistic, haha.

I don't know, I just think Ramsay is that evil and he isn't the type to come around. In all honesty it wouldn't surprise me if things got worse. I know Sansa has come a long way but Ramsay is a whole different monster to me.

I didn't mean to say he would, so if I implied it that's my mistake - guy's worse than Joffrey by some distance. Like I say, going by the books Stannis can't arrive soon enough as far as Sansa is concerned, but all the same I do think she has a few little chips available if she can work out how to use them. Time will tell obviously.

Yeah we will see, I just am never optimistic when it comes to this show anymore(and probably for good reason haha)

I think Theon snaps at some point within the last couple ep. and kills Ramsey, then he and Sansa escape Winterfell. That is, if "Stannis the Mannis" doesn't show up anytime soon.

Stannis has been growing on me these past couple of seasons. If he'd been played by Sean Bean and had a more favourable build-up I think he could have been as popular as Ned Stark. And I can see him being a big part of the Baelish-Bolton-Sansa plot in one way or another as well.

He's an interesting character. He seems to have more honor than most of the other house lords. Definitely like him more than Baelish.

Ending of this past episode has me in a good mood

Yeah, wasn't quite as dynamic as I'd imagined from the books, but that's definitely the storyline I've been looking forward to (only me and every other fan and their dog anyway...). It's interesting how quickly they rushed his story arc until that point, so you'd think it means they have something big planned.

Not talking about Tyrion although him meeting up with Dany is cool(don't know what will happen to him now though)

In terms of taking the throne I'd agree, but as a character goes (including the actor, intrigue and generally being fun to watch) I prefer Baelish.

I don't know how I forgot that that particular scene was the last one. I'm blaming your gif for throwing me. :P

I agree fully with that one too though. As with Joffrey dying, you knew it was a matter of when but it's still really satisfying to see.

Well there aren't many GoT dancing GiFs(probably because it is such a depressing show lol) so that is my excuse

Yeah that was one of the twists I was looking forward to this season
