Teams fined for rule violations

@RavensInsider: Browns fined $250,000, general manager Ray Farmer suspended without pay for the first four games

@RavensInsider: Falcons lose fifth-round pick for piping in noise, team president Rich McKay suspended from competition committee, team fined $350,000

Doesn't seem to "hurt" the Browns much.

I didn't think the Browns' deal was that big of a 'competitive edge' issue. What good does texting do when there are phones all over the place? Doesn't save you any time, for sure. I understand the intent of the rule, though, just not sure why the Browns would do it.

As for the Falcons, that IS an issue and something that I'm glad they came down hard on. Perturbed that it had supposedly been going on for a couple of years without any action, though. They should look at the Colts next. I swear they've been doing it forever, the air raid sirens during and through other teams' huddles and as they line up.

And I would be remiss without saying: ABOUT TIME! Next up: Deflategate

Its funny they managed to punish the browns and the falcons, but they completely sweep the patriots under the rug.

Of course, it might put the league in a bind if they have to admit their championship team cheated... again.

They receive fines that are less than the veterans minimum salary and the Falcons lose a low rd pick in 2016. Why not this year? lol. It just shows its better to try cheating. The gains outdo the losses.

Why were the Bronco's not fined for failure to report Peyton Manning's quad injury?

The Ravens were over the Ed Reed incident...  Can you say Double standard????

Pretty sure Manning was listed on the injury reports.  Reed wasn't.

Manning wasn't.  It wasn't mentioned until after their loss in the playoff game.

The week before he was "full practice" with a thigh...  That was the Wild Card Round...  which they didn't play.  They had a bye along with the Patriots...  The week they actually did play, there were "no injuries to report".

And yet, the players consistently mention his bad quad.
