Traded away a 7th?

Idk if this forum is ok to post this in correct me if I'm wrong but here's my question.

I was reading in the Ravens app earlier about our compensatory picks and it said we lost a 7th round to Dallas for McClain deal. Can anyone explain to my we lost a pick if they gave us 6th for him

Because that was the deal. McClain met certain playing time standards, so we received a 6th for McClain and a 7th.

If Rolando played in a 60% of the starting lineup we get a 6th rounder. In return, they got a ilb that faired well and 7th rounder.

Getting a higher 6th for our 7th and a player we didn't need sounds ok to me :-)

I am just happy McClain is no longer on our team. Now there are questions about how his house burnt to the ground. Some think there was some "shenannigans" going on possibly for insurance.
