You need to have someone to throw to in order to build chemistry.. hopefully we'll have a legit WR after the draft, I'm getting very concerned with our TE situation. Not re-signing Daniels already feels like a mistake, did his numbers jump off the page? No, but he grew into a go-to player for Joe as the season progressed and you could tell Joe trusted him and looked his way on 3rd down and in the red zone. Daniels may not have been a high volume target but he was there when Flacco needed him the most.

For crying out loud Revis said we were one of the final teams in on his services, we had no problem flirting with a big price tag player like Revis but couldn't shell out the pocket change for a very solid piece of our offense who Joe had chemistry with. As brilliant as our front office is, from time to time they undervalue players like Boldin, Corey Graham, and now Daniels and end up paying for it. Sure you can look at Daniels numbers and say he's replaceable but there's so many intangibles he brought to the table for us, especially towards the end of the year that never show up on the stat sheet.

Obviously, Peyton see football as a hobby and a profession; Joe likely has other interests. Besides, people are not the same and many will perform better and longer with some time off.

Joe needs some offseason throwing sessions to everyone on this board so we all shut up about it.

Sad thing is, Joe would probably be ok with us all lining up for a catch.

The guy won us a Super Bowl, I think he knows what to do.

but his contract closed up the time space continuum and actually boldin and ray lewis won that super bowl.

I voted for "only the fans care" and "only good for PR". Happy to be counted as two opinions though. ^_^

Ohhh I didn't know you could vote more than one.

You'd think that after 7 seasons cats would stop trying to turn Flacco into what he is not!  Smh!  IF, Joe gets with his receivers..cool!  IF, not...cool!  The main thing is that they need to develop a friendship that goes beyond the game.  When that happens, we'll see great things from both Joe and the receivers.

Joe's coaches and teammates never really said those great things about him- it was actually just PR, written by Kevin Byrne.

What do you mean "those great things"?

Well, the post was tongue-in-cheek. Kind of following along with the tone of the thread. Anyway, are you saying you've never heard Joe's coaches or teammates praise him?

I think too much thought is put into this.  Statistically,Joe had his best season ever this past season and if I can recall correctly, he didn't workout with his receivers last offseason.

Yup...  14 yards shy of 4,000...  SMH

Think he got pulled for the entirety of the 4th quarter in the Tampa Bay game, too. Think he could have mustered 14 more yards in that game?? lol

If only Joe would have gotten together with SSS and Torrey in May or June, they wouldnt have led the league in drops.

You really believe that?  Those two receivers were double-covered most of the season...  for the exact reason you are speaking of.  The opposing teams knew that these were the "go to guys" last season.

If it wasn't for all the drops last season, Joe probably would have finished with about 4200-4300 yards.

Absolutely...  and how many of those drops hit receivers in their chests, hands, etc.....  Talking about drops has nothing to do with off season throwing.

Well that's true but I was cutting our WRs a break

LOLOL....  and I was cutting Joe a Break...  So, let's just call it all...  and give them all a break.  No sense in dealing with the past...   When it's time to look forward to the future of 2015.  I cannot wait for the season to start.  Watching games on Rewind is getting old.

Same question, another year. Joe is that good and yes it would be nice if the Ravens had that "Franchise" wide out but don't we have a ring? I'd rather have Joe than, well, can't catch it if you don't throw it! Go 5!! loves us some Joe!!

Good post. I am getting so sick and tired of how we need an elite WR. Since the year 2006 the only team to win a super bowl with an elite WR was the colts in 2006 and that w/ Peyton Manning as well. They are cool to have but not necessary for success.

Have never been a fan of off season work outs with QB's & WR's.  They can't do it at the facility due to rules, so there is no controlled environment for them to work out at. There's no coaches, trainers or medical staff present at these. Where would we be if Joe tore a UCL or rotator cuff or a WR  an acl or achilles. No, there's enough throwing & catching to be done during camp and practices imo.
