Edge With Ravens In 09?

Edgerrin James said that he doesn't expect to be back with the Cards next year. If we can acquire him somehow, I'd honestly take him over McGahee. If we can sign him for cheap somehow or trade McGahee for him, I'd pull the plug on that. A three-headed running attack with Edge, Rice, and McClain would be far better than one with Will, Rice, and McClain. Edge has the ability to be a big-time runner still, just hasn't really gotten the chance with the Cards this year. I'm sick of McGahee doing a few runs, then on the sideline exhausted or with an oxygen mask and then going to the media complaining about the staff and making everything about him. Edge has a serious complaint, so I don't consider his comments on the same level as Will's.

I would give McGahee a few more chances. If he gets totally healthy and tries hard next season, he could put up some good numbers.

Edge is well over 30 now. His value as a RB is diminishing quickly. Edgerrin James barely played this year, in fact he was benched, how can one assume he'd be better?

Let's leave Edge to wherever he might go. Besides McGahee will be a Raven next year for better or worse.
