I wouldn't call Urschel is the most famous OL in the NFL...

He might been known over the average backup due to the CNN article however.

Sure I missed this but, for what reason did Urschel feel the need to expound on Borland, etc. Was he asked to do an editorial?

If so, by whom?

Ravens fans should know who he is considering that he was the starting RG in the playoff games and Colinsworth repeatedly said his name and how impressive he was during the Ravens vs Steelers playoff game.

Well then, obviously they don't spend enough time computing the Fiedler Vector.

Urschel is a smart guy, and he played well when Osemele was out. I look forward to seeing what he can do in the future. Could be critical with both Yanda and Osemele coming up as FAs next year.

And I get what the OP was saying. Urschel obviously isn't a massive star, but he has a quirk that has gotten him press for a guy at an unheralded position. Some of my non-Ravens friends were sharing the story on Facebook. I'm all about good press for once.

I usually check the website and app multiple times daily, I especially like the LFW. Usually lots of good information. For some reason this one slipped under the radar. I saw the article was trending on Facebook and with all the related articles, the LFW was one of them. I then came to this website but the LFW article wasnt anywhere to be seen. (This happened a several days ago, so the article was still pretty fresh.)

I like having super intelligent O-linemen. Having Birk helped out and Urschel seems like a solid player (Possibly a future starter if we lose KO or Yanda?)

He s cool!  Kickboxer, wrestler Alegebra wonder. His story should be circulated on NFL talk shows.    You can count on him to multiple his talents in BAL subtracting all distractions and dividing what is the right and wrong to please MGMT and the fans

Being a math whiz alone, doesn't bring much fame, but when you can do that and block for TD runs, now that's talent.

Yes, this was on Late for Work, which I love, and in the Sun, but that's not CNN. By the end of the season, is Urschel plays and improves, he'll be a regular storyline.

Props to him on his passion in math, but what I care about is his work @the field

So far he has done very well @ backup role and filled in quite nicely. Expecting to see more of him this year.

Folks, instead of arguing about his fame or lack thereof, why don't we just sit back and be proud of this kid for who he is and what he chooses to do?

Who wouldn't want your kid to grow up and be a John Urshcel??

I dont really pay attention to how they write, nor do I really critique their articles.

I just like the information they provide, regardless of how they provide it.

I think there's some pretty good writers on the staff. It's not easy to keep finding things to write about in the offseason, even with the Combine, Draft, etc. Some of the profiles have been really good, and some of the opinion pieces have been very well done.

I could see Urchel winning that starting Center job.

Maybe, but there's a good chance we can't afford both Osemele and Yanda next year. Or, is there a possibility we pay them both and move someone to LT?

I think the latter is the case...  We did it before when we lost players.  We shifted the line around.  I see that happening again.

If Urschel wins the job, then I don't know what you can really do lol. I think he can be flexed to guard anyways if we lose K.O or Yanda.
