Ravens sign S Kendrick Lewis

I don't need to see any film on him. If he had 79 tackles last season, we already know he's better than Elam in that phase of the game.

The only time I find for him was a 4.7 and that was likely 5years ago.

He had credible stats from last year.  6 foot tall, played all 16 games, 2 Picks.....6 passes defensed....84 tackles.

I think we could have drafted a safety, but pretty sure Oz fears pulling that trigger due to the risk of backfire.

Dude, stop. You don't know what we do or watch. Are you 11? Serious question.

When i said Will Hill was legit i had people doubting me

When I said Daryl Smith was Legit i had people doubting me

When i said Elam was an abomination when drafted i had people doubting me

When i said CJ mosley was a great pick people doubted me

trust me on this..Kendrick lewis is a scrub.

He really is awful. I mean this with utmost honesty. Unless you guys have actually watched him i suggest you take my word for it. He really is not very good. His tackling is also not very good.

He can get an interception here or there..hes hardly a ball hawk but he's just too weak in many areas to be a strong point.

Hes a level or two behind the likes of Pollard Ihedigbo and Landry. Thats me just being totally honest.

I am not a fan and aside from being a good athlete he really lacks coverage skills on a consistent basis and is a below average tackler.

He is not really an improvement over ANYONE other then elam..that includes Miles and stewart. Infact i prefer those two over him.

If his tackling is not good, the Texans must really suck. He led the team in tackles last year.

Don't forget Elam never played strong safety much of all this year he didn't get to marinate at his position like his rookie year were he had 77tackles I believe when we get Terrence brooks back he needs to be stuck at one postion as well too and not moved all over the defense

I'll put it to you this way. Ihedigbo pollard >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kendrick Lewis

BUt

Kendrick lewis > elam

Did I miss the post that said he would be better than them? Only comparisons made just so happen to have been in your post

Texans got rid of him because he was due to be backup to rahim moore. Moore is far more polished player ( aside from that legendary gaff a few years ago) on all fronts. He is a backup player and simply put is an improvement over elam . I think Jeremy miles is better than him.

OR texans didnt get rid of him and he was a free agent because he signed a one year contract with Houston

He didn't want to stay because he knew he was going to be a backup. SO he came to baltimore ..the land of crap safety by committee ( except for will hill..and pray he doesn't get picked up by someone else)

I don't care what position Elam played. He's a defensive player who's tackling sucked last season. When Ozzie calls you out for your bad play during the State of the Ravens Address, that says a lot!

Just gotta say...  Rahim Moore was the guy that Jacoby burned alongside Bailey...  Just sayin... Give the guy a chance, and stop attacking each other.  Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion...

Correct, anyone can throw out an opinion. And some REALLY take advantage of that right.

I like the signing, Texan fans seem saddened by the news, that's a good sign. With this signing The ravens organization has completely giving up on Elam. He'll be the backup going into the season, once Brooks comes back he'll probably be ahead of Elam due to his versatility and ability to not fail at tackling. Good move, can't wait for the next.

I think Kendrick Lewis is solid.  He's not a star by any stretch, but assuming the salary is reasonable, I think this was a really good pickup.  I wanted him last year as well so I'm actually happy to finally get him.

This years safety class is worse than the 2012 class. No one worth picking.

I don't think this means the coaches and the FO are done with Elam; they're bringing competition, that's it. I hope Elam steps up his game.

The difference is I am talking about the player honestly. Some people here praise everything ozzie does and by default one cannot criticize.

Few praise him 100% of the time.

Then make ONE post on your opinion and leave it at that.

Yeah, he must really suck:

@RavensInsider: New Ravens safety Kendrick Lewis led Texans in performance-based pay with a $209,465.32 payout from last year

When you said Jimmy Smith was a bust people doubted you

When you said Justin Forsett was scrub people doubted you

and I'm sure there many other players you said were bust or scrubs that Ozzie  drafted or signed but turn out to be the opposite.

I'm not questioning you football knowledge but  you have been proving wrong more than once.

Gotta say it, this getting to be pretty ridiculous signing players from the Texans.  Ravens farm team?  lol

We only got him because he never played for Kubiak. Otherwise, he'd be going to Denver. :)

So he left on his own.

So it was his choice to come to Baltimore ra ther than stay in Houston.

Thanks for negating your other posts
