Here's Cam Cameron attempting to defend the Ted Ginn, Jr. pick. I think Ted Ginn, Jr. was an amazing college WR and KR/PR specialist but worthy of the #9 overall pick? I think it was a stretch but hopefully he'll prove me wrong along with these Dolphins fans. However.. MAN do the Dolphins fans get ticked!

Picking Ginn @ #9 has to go down as one of the worst all time draft blunders ever.......He's not even healthy....dude hurt himself celebrating a TD!

I have to agree. Not saying he won't be good I think he will but #9 overall pick good? I highly doubt it. They could of easily dropped down and gotten him later.

That was a waste of the 9th overall pick.

Miami, in theory, could've gotten Ted Ginn in the early second round by trading up, if they wanted him that badly. No other team was really as interested, apart from Atlanta.

That 9th overall pick should've been used on Brady Quinn, bar none. To get Brady Quinn in the 9th slot is like Matt Leinart falling to the Cardinals at the 10th spot. People didn't expect Leinart to fall to Arizona in mock drafts, just as people didn't expect Quinn to fall to Miami. Because of that, the Dolphins should've capitalized and gotten their QB of the future at a premium compared to the contract they would've had to dish out if they had drafted him higher.

Instead, Cam Cameron and the Dolphins front office simply wanted to remain loyal to the Ginn family after having drafted Ted Ginn, Sr. some odd years back...

When you have a team that relied on Joey Harrington for QB last year, and you have an oppportunity to draft a franchise guy, you take it. Who is their QB right now? As far as I can tell, they're stuck waiting for Trent Green. Speaking of Harrington, was he really that much worse than anyone else who suited up for them last year - or who's likely to suit up this year? Cut Harrington, pass on Quinn...all of this after giving big money Daunte Culpepper, who couldn't play and is unlikely to ever play again. I bet Matt Millen is thrilled these guys are running a front office, because he's looking pretty good by comparison.

Gotta feel sorry for Miami fans.

And apparently Trent Green hasn't left KC yet, from what I heard lately.

I can just imagine Miami fans are furious.

Well they could always acquire Kyle Boller next year *snicker*

Well, the consolation prize is, at least we may not struggle against the Dolphins the next time we play them!...I think... :P
