I just wonder what we're going to do with that space now that it's there. The draft picks gives us some ammo to trade up if we want to in the draft.

Lol wow I called this trade in the other thread. I'm not sure I'm the first one though. So I'm not taking any credit here or anything. I'm more surprised that I guessed right than anything. I called that he'd be traded a long long time ago, saying we should let him go because it's really all we can probably do. I had multiple discussions here with people about his future. I can't say I'm happy he's gone. To be honest it hurts to see him go but at the same time I think this is the right decision.

Stings to see him go but I love getting those picks and salary relief for him. Very surprised by this!

Seriously???

Mid-level picks?

Can we get a better return, when we decimate the team?

Very upsetting...

Well it is better than cutting him. Im very happy that a trade even got off

I think we did really well on the trade actually. We essentially got a third round pick for him in value.

So we save 8.5 million and 10.5 for the day half of which now gets allocated to the draft meaning we still have nothin to work with and another hole on the roster

We find out one thing, who is a real Raven and who is not. I do not care one spit about the "Cap" but you could not even try to help the team?  Won't be seeing you in the Super Bowl, Lion!

Wow, very surprised to hear this. Can't really fault Ngata for not taking a paycut if that's what it was but I thought the discussions were for an extension. Maybe the terms weren't to his liking. Whatever.

Glad we got some good compensation in return, though. And with that money we can afford to be decent players in FA.

Ngata was a favorite of mine and was a major reason behind many years of great defense here, but the man did not want a pay cut and we needed the money. Good deal for all

Looks like the trade broke these boards, haha.

Man I am going to miss haloti. He definitely tops the bill of one of the greatest ravens to wear the uniform.

Good luck to him, but damn it is wayyy to sudden. I feel like we got some cap relief, but you can never replace a beast like ngata.

What position?

well D line.  I'm also looking at DB, WR, TE and potentially RB if we don't sign anyone.

Our line was already pretty good without him so it's not s hugely pressing need, but this draft class is fantastic for late day one and day two guys.

yeah but depth doesn't hurt in this league. I haven't followed much this season. I pretty much shut off football after we lost to the Patriots and they went all the way. If it was any other team outside of the Steelers I could have handled it, but ugh. So I'm way behind on all my NFL news.
