Posting this in the Ravens section is cruel and unusual punishment lol...  even though I knew we didn't have the cap for him I still almost jumped out of my chair when I read "Cobb signs". Obviously FA hasn't started but I guess you can still sign in theory with a new team until it goes official tuesday.

i dont think this justifies 7m/year for torrey, cobb is a much more dynamic player, his speed is pretty much on par with torreys but he has much better hands and runs the whole route tree and is effective all over the field, you can deny it all you want but the fact of the matter is, is that torrey is a 1 trick pony with too many flaws to justify 7m/year. torreys cap hit should never be for more than 5m and i dont think he can improve his game any further to change that. 

 

we all love torrey and want him to stay, but just like kruger, ellerbe, art jones, etc. he will be offered from somebody else, more than we are willing to pay. although with him being such a high character and unselfish guy it would not surprise me to see him take less to stay in bmore.
